  1. found some slates in the alley behind the house, a fair few doors down so they ain't from my roof, the are however in my back yard! They'll be going in FR slate waggons at some point! Mega score!

      If that is blue/green that will be Coniston/Kirby slate, but if it's the purple/black it will be the Welsh F.R.

      thanks for that, I think it's more a grey/blue than anything, but it certainly needs a wash, and leaving it in the back yard should sort that out once it rains!

      A question for the help threads?. Strangely there does not seem to be section in Skills or Special Interests relating to couplings.

      The idea would be to have the curves between layout and fiddle yard, but to use s&w for shunting ease once on the main layout, more testing methinks!

  3. Noooo! I just got Whitborough out for a bit of shunting fun and the backscene has developed bubbles and creases in it!

      The thing is, it's been on there and fine for about six months, and it was ok a week or so ago, all of a sudden it's got mumps!

  4. went over to the darksi8de yesterday and bought a GW china clay wagon, at least it'll be in BR livery though, so I won't feel like I'm betraying myself too much!

  13. did some more soldering while watching the F1 this morning, and have now ordered train tickets for Warley, productive day!

  14. has been playing with some Worsley Works 009 'scratch aid' FR carriages (21 & 106 if you're interested!)

      Weather is a bit welsh at the moment so I hope it clears up for you. Nothing worse than dowdy light up in the mountains.

  17. plenty of inspiration at MR Live yesterday, and some nice long chats with some of the magazine team. oh, and I got George to sign my coipy of his book!

  23. has made a start on the new control panel for Scrayingham, this one will be mounted on the layout rather than separate, so, fingers crossed will be less fragile!

  24. has made a start on the Ratio MR suburban coach he picked up for 2 quid! need to find some details on the interior though

  25. liking the new layout (pun intended) especially that it works better and quicker on my blackberry, break times at work just got more interesting!
