  1. <pedant> Dear Mr. Nevard, I quote. "Mr & Mrs Penguin ponder on whether they should go in to The Pedant & Armchair public house next to the halt at Polbrock." It was "The Armchair & Pedant" the other day. Please make your mind up or pay more attention to you typing.

Yours etc Mr, P. Edant <pedant>

Oooh! Your leaving yourself wide open there Chris. Some will say that type of pillbox was never used in Cornwall.

    Regards, Mark

  2. I agree with nigelb. I bought some of their slate sheets at the scaleforum. Again though lifting problems may occour. Also have you looked at scalescenes buy and print papers?

I think the flat version on the hut looks good despite the lack of overlap, the painting and weathering have disguised the lack of that.

As for the Wills sheets could you not bevel the exposed edge to reduce the effect.

BTW whatever method you use your modelling skills will make the result look tremendous.

  3. Hi Chris, glad tohear you had a goodtime, wish I could of made the show myself. As for 'excessive posts', in my opinion they can never be enough about your work. I have been through your blog on RMweb and don't think I have seen anything about the scratchbuilt buildings and your techniques on BQ, or did I miss them.

    All the best, Mark

  4. Combwich will still be joined to Enginewood (via flying cassette) at RAILEX last time I looked - so you won't need to be disappointed. I will be if drop the cassette with one of CK's lovey engines though..Planet; I'll check that out - there is one at Bury by all accounts, but decent views on the web are a little ellusive.

I will be dissapointed as I have to go on holiday that weekend which is a SWMBO clan gathering in Welshpool. I can see some railway excursions planned though.

  5. Quote "the brake shoe legs or arms or whatever they're called". Brake hangers, Chris.

"people that might get upset probably have squeaky voices and are generally not the sort I'd be comfortable introducing to my wife or 'normal' friends"

Hope knowing that doesn't make me one of those.

    Nice works as ever BTW

    Regards, Mark
