I had a thoroughly enjoyable yesterday. It’s personal preference, to an extent, but I thought the choice of layouts and traders to be extremely well judged and of more interest than the recent large shows I’ve been to (Warely, Doncaster, Scotland) which can sometimes feel like ‘never mind the quality look at the width’, particularly on the trader front. There was a very thoughtful mix of layout concepts. Glad it’s back on the calendar.

That has brightened up my evening thanks, just about to take the plunge and get an airbrush ironically. It’s the kind of straightforward but professional standard inspiration that can be hard to come by in this hobby (though that is improving). Really appreciate you taking the time to explain it

Had a great first visit this afternoon too. I echo the words of others, in every respect it’s incredible, a very slick operation and a joy to watch. I thought there was actually a decent mix of people, modellers non-modellers. A city centre venue is a great idea if the costs work. It would be ideal in York this time of year for the weary shopper!

Good luck for tomorrow Simon. I’ve read every post, poured over photo and video, and (to a much smaller degree!) adopted the techniques for my own layout. I check for updates on this thread daily and cannot wait to see it next week. Inspiring stuff and credit to you for seeing it through. The whole hobby benefits from this

I’d just like to add my thanks to those who put on the show, the traders, and of course the exhibitors. I thought the quality of the layouts was very high across the board. The fact it wasn’t too busy was actually quite pleasant and caused me to make a second trip on Sunday. A great show thank you
