    Silly question, BUT: Are the outside steam pipes on 4-cyl locos like Kings, Castles, Duchesses etc. the intake or the exhaust pipes for the outside cylinders? Many thanks.

      I found this diagram, a little indistinct but I think it shows the pipes running to the steam chest which would be the intake?
