I used to play Saturday and Sunday league cricket in Essex and every sodding village had teams - we had 2 teams each on each day plus the youth team - it was exhausting, I only did it for one season, I think a lot of places have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd team nowadays - then we used to play Essex twice per year then tours overseas like Greece and Holland - no wonder I nearly became an alcoholic... Certainly makes a change from Film Stars - JFK (though I have watched an uninspiring Porn movie of MM); Unpaid “interns” Bill C., whole armies of typists - FDR (and many others, too many to list). There have been many “Great Swordsman” amongst British leaders, many of the Gay persuasion but the libel laws in the UK are far more onerous. Yes, it was entertaining. I could imagine anyone leaving for a pee towards the end upon returning would’ve thought that a “time-slip” had occurred. Glad that Fred got some decent points. I can’t help feeling that he has missed his golden years because of commercial decisions gone awry. Still one of the best on the track even now. Verstappen should be censured for too many jinking moves - specially after his outrageous sidewipe of Ricciardo early in the race.
