First time of the day for Verstappen

The Red Bull is looking to stretch its legs in the possession of Max Verstappen. The three-time world champion is on the C3 medium tyre and clocks a 1:32.669 on his first push lap, which is over second away from Carlos Sainz's top time on the same compound.

NOTE from me = Perez has just got out of THE SAME CAR, but is a lot slower, I feel his days are numbered as Danny Ric has done some impressive times. = EDIT, He / Danny Ric did end at the bottom of the listings. SEE BELOW.

    Post update

Six hours, 37 minutes and 30 seconds left of this final day of running.

If you've just dipped into the page and thinking 'what on earth is going on?', we had a long delay earlier on for a loose drain cover, in pretty much the same spot as yesterday's disturbance.

So that means eating on the go today, as the one hour lunch break has been cut and the track will remain green until 7pm local, 4pm for us here in the UK.

  4. ANOTHER DAY = ANOTHER DRAIN COVER = ANOTHER STOPPAGE.

    Red flag continues

    #BBCF1

Percy Cross: Is it just me, but for a Track in the middle of a desert it appears to have a surprising number of drains? Obviously these F1 cars are now giant vacuum cleaners, so perhaps Dyson will buy Haas?

Afternoon session starts at 11:00 GMT

Official word from F1: "The session will not resume due to a drain cover coming loose at turn 11. Repairs are underway and it is expected that the repair will be concluded within one hour. The afternoon session will begin one hour earlier than planned at 14:00 local time."

  6. Good start to Thursday. =

Is that a bit of the track that has come off?

Turn 11 is being checked and it looks like a bit of drain cover has come off the track.

    Debris issue

    Chris Medland

    F1 journalist in Bahrain

A big chunk of the drain on the entry kerb at Turn 11 has lifted off and Charles Leclerc just ran over it on the track. Obliterated it but leaves a dangerous gap.

Carlos Sainz spotted the debris on track, then Leclerc hit it as we worked out where it had come from.

Good to learn progress has been made Andy.

I've been building an Ellis Clark Wickham shed although I haven't posted much on here lately as I am also on the 7mm Scale Society forum where I post more stuff.

Once I get nearly done I'll put some pictures up

Sounds Good Paul, I really need to look around more than just here, Realistic pics and the F1 threads.

Why not build a small TMD layout that you could operate between songs at your concerts - then you get to entertain, play trains and promote modelling all at once. 😄

OR, As Rod Stewart does, have an EXTRA room in Hotels when on Tour to make his Buildings between rehearsals and Gigs to chill out. Now all I need is for us to do bigger Gigs so that we can afford Hotels.  🤪

. And Rich, until it warms up sufficiently to make working in the Bunker a pleasant proposition, I'll not be out there. The Bunker is heavily insulated, but at this time of the year I can't justify heating the place for several hours - especially with the current rip-off electricity charges!

I guess that's one advantage of my POD, (the converted Garage), and attached to the Bungalow in two sides. Its now habitable all year round. I really MUST start work on "Tonleigh Bridge" again soon.
