Interesting, especially the last one. What is the rule with tail lights? I thought only one was lit, not 2 simultaneously as shown here and despite what RTR manufacturers provide us with. This seems to show that Hornby, Bachmann et al have it correct. I'm certain that only one was lit though. Am I going mad?
Only 1 was used up until about 1985/86. Then if there was a switch for it the other one that was switched on as well. With the new builds of units 142/150 etc these were both fitted via the one switch.
With regards the manufacturers, it really anoys me that either they cant be switched off or both are lit when the period dictates that only one was used.

Even shorter TPO was the Lincoln to Derby which comprised a POS(sorting) and 1 BG.It joined up with the Peterboro to Crewe TPO at Derby which was formed of 2 BG ,POS and POT.
