Very strange my copy of the Sunday Times seems to have completely airbrushed out West Ham's Wigan spit fest by featuring a full duplicate match report of Middlesbrough v Brighton instead.

I quite fancy an M69 derby in the next round as long as it's not played on London Wasps' Ricoh sand based bog.
-
So close for plucky Newport County pegged back by Tottingham late on, but I suppose they get to play at Wembley at least once this season and a very useful payday as well.
-
I was thinking more along the lines of they shouldn't show it.

Well that was somewhat easier than expected - Peterborough United 1 Leicester City 5. It looks as if we may have discovered another gem from the French Ligue 2 to follow on from Knockaert and Mahrez - Diabate with two goals and an assist on debut is not too shoddy a start. Is it part of the "magic" of the F.A.Cup, when you spot some poor young Peterborough fan blubbing into his "arf 'n 'arf" scarve, which was newly bought in anticipation of a famous giant killing?.

Leeds United were also masters of brawling in the 1970's e.g. Derby v Leeds 1975 and the infamous Hunter vs Lee "fight". Is that Bremner trying to rip Archie Gemmell's head off on the right with Roger Davies closing in to rip Bremner's head off? Derby won the match 3-2.

My trademark tackle was to run my boot down the back of a players calf or ankle which would frequently cause injury. Who am I?

Leeds United allegedly consulted 10,000 people before coming up with this proposed dismal on so many levels Centenary Badge design. Well I suppose you might get heartburn or indigestion if you have to watch Leeds United constantiy falling short of expectations

Mahrez seems to have put his "Billy No Mates" sulking in airport lounges phase behind him and is letting his feet do the talking again. He is currently getting close to his PFA Player of the Year Season of Miracles level of form. Whether he moves in the next few days or at the end of the season will depend on another club coughing up the "right" amount of money. We don't need to sell him as we are currently the 14th fattest cat in the Deloittes World Football Money League, which makes a nice change from the starving fox of a few years ago.

Sierd could have got his hands on a full sized "version" if he had acted quickly a few years ago: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2299032/Rare-200-tonne-railway-gun-make-historic-journey-Utrecht-mark-300th-anniversary-treaty-ended-Spanish-War.html Now he If wants a model of it he will have rely on the eBay ANTB Global Shipping Programme. (Sorry about the Dally Wail)

Chelsea reported as interested in the services of our Islam Slimani. Are they sure they have identified the correct Algerian?

If only Liverpool had a world class playmaker to help them break down stubborn nine man defences.............but they probably got what they deserved tonight as four shots on target from 21 attempts isn't really good enough. Still it gives renewed hope to Spurs after their disappointing heavy legged draw with Southampton yesterday.

My three managers to be safe would be Wagner, Hughton and Howe regardless of their clubs' fate. It's not Wagner's or Hughton's fault that they both manage promoted Championship sides with relatively little Premiership quality playing talent added to their squads in the summer. Unfortunately a fairly chronic lack of regular goals scored may do for them both, but I wouldn't reward either of them with the sack if the worst comes to pass.

The scale track plan of Brent towards the end (p232) of the OPC KIngsbridge Branch reveals the legend "Hawke's Store" under a magnifying class. i don't know if this is already on your radar or how long the name is good for. Edit There seems to have been a family of Hawkes residing in Dartmouth, at least three of whom appear to have been coal merchants in a "well known business" in the first half of the 20th century. 1939 Dartmouth Directory - W.A.Hawke & Son, Coal Merchant, Mayor's Avenue. Is 17 miles too far away from South Brent?

Leicester City have finally managed to climb to the top of the Premier League Also-Rans Table after being in the bottom three after eight games. The trick will be to be stay there. I see there was a bit of collateral damage with Marco Silva's departure following Watford's 2-0 loss to us. It will be interesting to see if their Premiership "stability through instability" survival model continues to work, although I suppose there is still just enough time for another boatload of loanees from Udinese and Granada to arrive and shore things up.

Judging from this screenshot computer sims involving Brent are coming on in leaps and bounds. 1958 as the Manchester London Road to Penzance 8.00 (SO) service passes through Brent in the early evening and it is not due in at Penzance until 9.00 p.m.(13 hours!) Pity about the generic library GWR lorry and syphon and one or two "modern" items.... 7 out of 10 Though sims will never replace ANTB....
