What size should the tender wheels for a LMS Turbo. David a Brit in the USA.

Has anyone taken over the O16.5mm Slimrails models? Just gone to by a couple of Wagons and find they have closed, I live in the US so no chance of going to an Exhibition to pick up stuff.

Well January 22nd no sign of them yet???. got a layout waiting for the Switches/Points to get on with my layout.

Thanks Tim, I have lived in the US for 35 years and I am a Pro Modeller so I am aware of all the Products over here. I have been using ME for the last few years but have had nothing but trouble with the Turnouts so it has all been lifted and I am moving to PECO. I have a small Scottish Branchline layout and I use PEO Code 75 on that and so that has swayed me to go to PECO US Code 70 for my US Switching layout. I thank you for your reply and comments. David. PECO US Code 70 HO Switches / points, When Peco announced there US Code 70 track last year I bought 10 lengths for use on my switching layout, as of Sept 8th there is still no sign of the switches / Points. I have written to them over the past few months asking for a delivery date but they have not replied. I am a Brit in the US and can go no further with my switching layout. Has anybody on that side of the pond heard anything on the Grapevine regards a possible delivery date.?

Well things have changed a little my Customer has decided to buy a Shapeways Body so I am looking for a self propelled chassis I can put under it. the problem being the Body for whatever reason is 3.5mm Scale HO not 4mm OO Scale. many thanks for your reply.

I am a Brit in the USA and have just got my first Bachman Loco Bachman WD AUSTERITY CLASS 77003 also a ZIMO MX644 Sound Decoder, I have done quite a few DCC Sound installs here in the US but hard wired them so this is new to me. I have taken off the ESU Decoder that was attached already to the lower board there is already a Capacitor wired to the existing lower board, do I desolder that and solder the Zimo Capacitor to the lower board or do I take out the original Capacitor and wire the new one to the ZIMO decoder?. Also the Lower board has soldering pads for a speaker I presume I solder my speaker to that?. Sorted.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the tender wheels on the GT3.

I have a DMU 105 that runs great it has a ESU Loksound V4 and sounds great but I cannot get the lights to work , any suggestions appreciated.

Due to my less than talented track designing skills, and being totally out of touch with British modelling (lived in the US for 34 years), I am basically copying WOODSTOWE to a T. The only difference I have is a further 4' to play with, and will add a Dairy or something on the left side of the bridge. Question is; how is coal delivered to the locals? I don't see any Coal Staithes anywhere?

Wow thank you Sir, I have been ashamed to admit I am in the same boat, I have been in the Model Railroad/Railway business Professionally most of my working life and maybe due to that my interest in building a model Railway/Railroad usually lasts about 6 months and then its sell and move on to the next thing. About a year ago I decided to become an armchair modeler and am 90% happy with that decision, I enjoy watching videos on YOUTUBE Model and Prototype but that is as far as it goes. .........for the moment.

Mine was going to be 12' x 2' going into a fiddle yard but it would have been a compromise of the track US vs GB and having to have a trackplan that was also a compromise US vs GB track layout and of course i could have swapped out buildings but they would have had to have the same footprint. So this idea could be the ideal compromise. David A Brit in the USA

I wrote to PECO this last Wednesday asking for a set of the O Gauge Templates amazingly they arrived Saturfay morning 3 days later UK to US great. My question is do PECO do a large radius O gauge point or a 3 way as there is not a Template for one amongst the ones they sent. David A Brit in the USA
