Have a slight scraping noise more noticeable in one direction only also the

motor is noisy in same direction might be coincidence as the scraping seems

worse over pointwork and curves so i think could be from the bogies / wheels

or pick ups any one else had these problems.

How old is the model, in terms of how many hours running? Does it need lubricating in the drivetrain?

 

Mine was secondhand some few years ago, and apart from blowing a cheap decoder (installed before I bought it) has run well, and would pull the side out of a house. But this is Heljan, where glue application on models is strictly limited at the assembly stage, so bits drop off and sag. Check you haven't got one or more separate details dragging.

Yes mine is the older model purchased second hand cannot see any thing catching they are delicate parts prone to breaking.

I would take the body off and check that the motor turns freely by hand and that the drive shafts are secured at both ends. Just fitted sound to my one so had the top off. Drive assembly is relatively easy to get to.
