Pop-up video adverts on Andriod

Having been on holiday I've been reading the forum via Chrome on an Andriod tablet rather than Windows10 desktop.

 

I've noticed that o the tablet, when in mobile view (i.e. the default), none of the pop-up video adverts have a "X" in the corner meaning they can't be hidden. To get the "X" I need to select the Chrome menu option to "Request desktop site".

 

Is this something that can be fixed or am I destined to request the desktop site until the not-Gold-advert-free membership is launched?

Try using an IPad, so much fun that when I'm out and about with work I cant keep up with RMWeb. Come on Admin, sort this farce out.
