BorderTerrier
I am moving my layout into a newly refurbished loft. I am looking for a spray kit capable of use, both on board surfaces and larger scratch build structures, and the newly plastered area Is there a spray system that might fulfil both requirements? THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR REPLIES. LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING TO BE A ROLLER FOR THE WALLS ETC. AND A SPECIALIST SPRAY GUN FOR MODELLING. Edited May 26, 2022 by BorderTerrier General reply. Spray household emulsion on walls & ceilings, also spray varnish/paint (?) on baseboards, and also be fine enough to spray model paint on model buildings...??!!?? I think.... RMweb Premium Kris Posted May 25, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 25, 2022 A spray system that is suitable for walls and baseboards is unlikely to be suitable for finer model making. The spray pattern is going to be too large. 1
SamThomas
Without thinning down emulsion for spraying (& having to apply more coats) the only commercial method is "airless spray". Think very hard about the amount of overspray in the air & where it will end up................... It would take a very long time to do it with anything suitable for fine scale modelling. 1
amdaley
Get a roller & brush for the ceiling & walls & an airbrush for the modelling work. You're unlikely to get one which will do both. 2
