RMweb Gold stovepipe Posted July 31, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 31, 2013 I believe D7020 onwards were delivered in GSYP, from February 1962. http://www.flickr.com/photos/robertcwp/2833111772/ The first 20 seem to have had yellow panels applied over the course of 1962 and 1963. Rugd1022
I think at least one of the original batch delivered without warning panels lasted into 1964 before being done, can't remember which loco or which book it's in but there's a photo of it somewhere. mark alden
7019 was the first delivered new with a yellow panel, 7018 was delivered without a yellow panel but went into Swindon a couple of days after entering traffic and got a yellow panel added. 7022 was in traffic from 02/62 and stayed in green until 04/71. As a general rule of thumb Overhead Live Wire Warning noticed first appeared during 04/61 and Yellow panels from 01/62.
