Rail-Online
Hi, Found this on the corner of a negative and thought you might like to see the colour of circa 12 year old coal wagons. Patricroft 1966. Used on loco coal duties. Tony

6959
Hi, Found this on the corner of a negative and thought you might like to see the colour of circa 12 year old coal wagons. Patricroft 1966. Used on loco coal duties. Tony It is interesting to compare these images of full size naturally weathered wagons with the so called weathered models with brown over sprayed chassis and lower bodies that look more like a car that has been driven around a muddy motorcross circuit. Weathering of railway models has to be subtle to appear realistic. More pictures like this please, anyone.

RMweb Premium Crepello Posted November 6, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 6, 2015 There's nothing worse than unweathered mineral wagon interiors at exhibitions. Or maybe there is:-- pre-BR private owners with diesel haulage!
Mark Saunders
There's nothing worse than unweathered mineral wagon interiors at exhibitions. Or maybe there is:-- pre-BR private owners with diesel haulage! There is nothing wrong with prewar PO wagons with BR diesel haulage all you have to do is pick the correct "non pool" wagons!
