bingley hall
Going nowhere is Steamtown Scranton's 'stuffed and mounted' 4-8-8-4 'Big Boy' sitting outside the railway museum on the morning of the 22 October 2017. Still impressive despite it's poor external condition, the presence of asbestos means that no work can be undertaken on it (even painting) until decontaminated.

chaz
It's quite a long time since I posted a snap in this topic but... Walking over the bridge by Eastleigh railway station this afternoon I was surprised to see a couple of locomotives of a type I don't recall ever having seen here before. Class 20s, or as I originally knew them, in green with no yellow, - English Electric type 1. I have never liked the blue and yellow but these two do look very smart in what is obviously a brand-new coat of paint. Maybe someone knows if these two are at Eastleigh for their new paint, a complete overhaul or......? 20 189 & 20 205 Chaz Edited April 2, 2018 by chaz
bluebottle
A wintry afternoon in the early 1980s: A not so bonny pair of twenties, whistling through Wadsley Bridge on their way up the Don Valley towards the steelworks at Stocksbridge.
