Having picked up a split from train set Railway Children 57xx I set about with various weathering products in an attempt to lighten to the colour that it had in the 1990s. Eventually gave up and resorted to the paint brush with a mixture of Vallejo ochre brown and sunny skin tone. As I recall it having been turned out in fully lined and decorated GNSR livery it quickly lost the red black chassis and frames to black and then the lining and lettering was removed and late BR emblem applied instead, which made for a simple repaint. Currently awaiting a 86G smokebox number plate to arrive.
