well folks had a small amount of time to do some weathering when i was up the shed earlier this afternoon, so the z class is getting the basic tones put on as ive not got alot of transfers to put on its getting alot of work done up front! Iknow this may seem odd but its going the right way for the mo.

well just had a bit of time this evening to paint me wheels! and sort a few areas I that needed re doning with black paint!
so hopefully it will be weathering time at some point on sunday!

again while I had the paint to hand this afternoon I did some basic block coats on the 9f it needs alot more work to get fully covered but had to stop due to a rain shower so decided to put it in the drying area and take a quick pic!

well just had a hour spare this afternoon in between painting regiments of toysoldiers for customers so I got a bit done on the Z class!!
sprayed it up in first 2 coats of black! a little repair to do as a lamp iron came off but will sort that later it will look alot better weathered to.
anyway took a feww pics:D
well there you go this needs more work hopefully will get some done over the next couple of days!

well folks its been another busy weekend so running behinde on railway stuff but today got time to sort out a bit of priming on the z class its only had a couple of flash coats asive been doing this in between the rain showers and sorting a load of toysoldiers!
anyway still alot of tidying up to do before it hits the paint it will get another rubdown and re do on primer then into matt black!
anyway took a couple of pics its not attached to the chassis it was just a quick shot from the dryer!
well more bits have gone on the z class over the last few days its got more winky bits than a 9f! so im only going so far with this one as I want to get it in paint this weekend and im without the other bits so it going to have to do for now!

well just a quick update after fitting a new step to the tank and a box on the running plate and fitting some cab hand rails we are starting to get there!

been bashing resin around again and stuck some pipes and a few other bits on the z class over the past few days! used alot of bit from the spares box so its not spot on but getting there!

well folks had some time this afternoon to bash ahead with a little more work on the rebuilt crosti 9f! got the front t plate in and smokebox hand rail then found id run out of the right size wire! so off to hunt round the shed and found some that may do the trick so will see how it turns out over the next few days!
so just had a few spare mins to take a few pics so here you go!

Well Just got to say thanks again to chris at golden arrow! yet again he`s worked his dark art of resin casting and mr postie came this morning (thursday) although im writting this in the wee hours of friday morning oh the joys of the internet and very little sleep! with a package and guess what it had a z class in!! yay and thats what ive been doing most of the day and this evening! took a quick pic earlier but done a load more since then but im still not to happy with how its sitting but will
well as i said in my other post I have been bashing an em2 woodhead loco! well its been one of those models were you do things different fromthe destructions and end up making a whole lot more work for yourself!
so still sorting out the chassis although this is now again running after redoing the pickups! this is a lima based one and im now sorting out the conection bolt and underframe this is now fitting but needs a bit of adjustment to fit square ish! well its as best as im going to get with
well im getting through this rebuilt crosti fairly well at the moment so took another pic late on yesterday still a bit to finish which hopefully may get some more done on friday as this weekend im working on the buses!
well sunday i am! also been bashing some resin out of an em2 as well! but thats for another story!

well folks I finaly got to looking at the garratt over the weekend although still no further forward yet with the chassis choice so I will soon start pulling it to bits and sorting it out with new detail on the body got to replace some of the plastic hand rails!
well its a start and Ive took a few pics as well before work starts!

so there you go an updated version!
this ones now running on bills layout 92026 was a birkenhead loco!in its last few years
my current one will be another birkenhead one 92020 but this currently has the older Hornby triang chassis!

well folks its been busy here again no news on the garrett yet as its sat in the box awaitting work! and the Z class is currently a chassis only while I wait for chris at golden arrow to work his magic dark art of casting!

Hi folks well ive got a kitmaster garratt on the way to me so soon i will be trying some ideas out, but just wanted to ask a quick question has anyone recently put a motor in one of these ie a ready to run chassis?
if so drop me a reply or pm and let me know what you think I will try and do some pics soon and there will be an update vid posted onto you tube!

well folks im still getting used to this blog system but I will be fitting in a couple more builds just ordered a southern z class tank loco from chris at golden arrow! yay! so looking forward to that and will be sorting a couple more 9fs out soon as ive had loads of requests!
