Sugar....?  Now THERE'S an interesting casting potential.  You can always dissolve & re-use it if it doesn't turn out well.  Seriously, is there a potential for at least checking the quality of a casting??

So long as I havent accidentally ingested it or propelled it towards the carpet with a sneeze, it will become part of a T gauge bubble car.

The quality (and perhaps the in house cleaning) of Shapeways Frosted Ultra Detail has really progressed, it makes me want to do a lot more printing. The little buffers have come out perfectly formed and are reasonably to scale. I'm wondering if I ought to have put in the exhaust pipes on the print itself, though it will be fun making them from a bent bit of wire!
