RMweb Gold Mikkel 24,808 Posted March 7, 2013 RMweb Gold Are you going to heat it and inject it? Seriously though, that is quite impressive. I look forward to the rest. 1 Link to comment
scanman 728 Posted March 7, 2013 Sugar....? Now THERE'S an interesting casting potential. You can always dissolve & re-use it if it doesn't turn out well. Seriously, is there a potential for at least checking the quality of a casting?? Regs Ian 1 Link to comment
Will J 718 Posted March 7, 2013 Thanks all. So long as I havent accidentally ingested it or propelled it towards the carpet with a sneeze, it will become part of a T gauge bubble car. The quality (and perhaps the in house cleaning) of Shapeways Frosted Ultra Detail has really progressed, it makes me want to do a lot more printing. The little buffers have come out perfectly formed and are reasonably to scale. I'm wondering if I ought to have put in the exhaust pipes on the print itself, though it will be fun making them from a bent bit of wire! 1 Link to comment
