After the diversion of yesterday I finished off the body. I am pleased with the way it has turned out. To me it looks like the little beastie it is supposed to be. It has been a fight, which is still not over, as I have the backhead to complete. It I think comes from a completly different loco. It is the right size and now all the bits that are not needed have been removed. I just have to make or get representations of what should be there.
But back to the body, the last lamp irons were added as were the fire iron brackets. I must say the chimney and dome are lovely brass turnings. Much like the quality of the Jidenco ones (the best bit of their kits). I have left the safety valves until the paint has been added.
I will be going through all the older photos I have to see if I have missed anything before the final clean and paint.
I must thank those who have helped me get it as right as the kit will allow. If you see anything missing please let me know.
Yes I know the rear buffer plank is missing, it will be refitted to the frames when I add a couple of bits that are still missing. Then that can be striped down and cleaned ready for painting too.
Well here are a few pictures of the loco.
And here is a low angle three quarter few which I think shows itoff to a tee.
