Well what with starting the lining on the Hall I have managed to get my Well Tank painted.

You will have to excuse the number of photos, but I like it.

We start off with the main body which unfortunatly used the last of my acid 8 primer. Need to go to the car paint shop I found here.

Next up is the chassi which was done in red oxide, its black so will not matter.

The cylinders were also done in acid 8.

The cab roof and the back head were done in some grey primer I had bought here, looks ok to my eyes.

As this loco is for me I thought it ought to have a crew, so I found a suitable driver and fireman. Looking forward to painting these I have not painted poeple since my Airfix days.

And finally the sum of the parts.

All I need to do now is make up my mind to whether it will be black or black lined green. And of coarse find some short Southern transfers.

Lovely job, excellent peice of work.  I've only just come accross this, hence lack of previous comment!

I have to admit I dont look at the blog section of RMweb very often, but I now have this one bookmarked.

All the best, Dave.

Thanks Dave

I know what it is like, I think you would get nothing else done in the day if you went through all of RMweb. I also pick and chose what I look at, much rather be model making. I normally only get a couple of hours in the evening for looking.

What a neat build this is, Pete. The primer looks a very clean job indeed.

I look forward to seeing the figures painted. What range are they from?

I like the way this is all being done against a backdrop of anti-government protests in Brazil!

I have enjoyed this one. It is a long time since I built a loco for myself.

I am not sure. I bought a job lot sometime ago from a well known auction site.

It is the same as protests in most countries. Half are there wanting to change the counrty for the better, but , the other half are criminals just want to rob or damage as many things as posible. The biggest problem here is the corruption in the national, state, city, and of coarse the police forces. Lots are up in arms at the amount being spent on football and olympics while patients are dying in hospital corridors.
