Hachette have updated there web site with information on the loco and the controller.

If you click on the loco image it takes you to A down loadable form for you to print off.

Stage one the first thing you need to do is stick the vouchers on to the form from issues 6 to 20.

Stage two get a mortgage to pay for the items that will have discount of 60% off the loco and 33% off the controller.

In the small print the loco is GET READY FOR THIS

Lovely idea, to encourage people to enter this fascinating hobby.  However, living in London, space is limited and homes generally don't have large out buildings etc.  Albeit OO Gauge, it is still far too large.  To have focused on a smaller layout, with better quality products would  have been substantially better.  N Gauge may have been a better alternative as more can be fitted into a smaller area, one of the principle reasons why N Gauge has gained in popularity.  One could readily build a very decent model railway for

I find my rakes run very well on my layout, even being close coupled with Bachman couplers.

All but one of mine runs well. I have one coach with a badly moulded wheel so I'm going to replace it with a Hornby one.

This is the free wagon you got if you subscribed. I think it looks a nice starting point for a project.

The wheels need to be replace and the couplings can be changed for the Bachmann slim type code number 36-026.
