Hornby painner tank issues...
I am very disappointed that my birthday present from 2 years ago has been running very bad this month, and I have decided to remove it from service. The reason being is that it has started to become a terrible runner, and to get it round most of the layout it needs to be at top speed. Now running a GWR painner tank at the top speed on my layout looks very silly, not even the bigger locomotives do that! At a more realistic speed the loco will jerk and come to sudden dead stop. I have attempted to clean the loco and track but that failed. It looks as though it has come to the end of its life at Moor's Line.
And to say farewell to it, here are some photo's of my only PT loco:
At the steam gala in May 2009, 2721
At the display siding's, where it now lives today with other old models and loco's.
This LNER J72 has replaced all of 2721's duty's.
If anybody has any solution to this, please contact me!
