There has not been much happening with 735 for the last few days, I am waiting to reassemble the chassis. I have got it all blackened and painted, with all the sundry bits ready. Hopefully that will be up and running this week. There always seems so many odds and ends.

I have also made and fitted the front splasher/sandboxes. They were fiddly as they were to wide and did not match the wing plate. Would of been fine on the A1X I think as the smokebox is round. I also made up the cab sandboxes and tank ends, these were fitted after I had made a cab floor, as there is no such beast with the kit.

I will have to narrow the backhead slightly as with a coat of paint it won't fit. I think I ought to add sanding leavers in the cab as the seem to be quite prominant. I am also having trouble finding out where the vacumn brake lives. There is not the exhaust steam pipe from the smokebox as on other A1/A1X's. So I assume the plumbing comes up through the floor. I think I will just have to guess. Sorry make an educated choice.

All in all I think it is coming along OK. I am thinking about the order of the detailing and also putting off the time the making of the Drummond lamp brackets.
