The South West Herts Model Railway Society is pleased to announce its 40th Annual Model Railway exhibition which will be held in Watford on 7th May 2022. Over 20 quality layouts have been invited from across the country covering a range of timescales from the early 20th century to the present day. Many scales and locations will be represented from the tiny Z gauge to O gauge. 
There will be something for the whole family including the opportunity to drive model trains and to purchase those essential items for your own collection. 14 traders and preservation societies also invited

Following our very successful Open Day in 2021 we will be holding another Open Day in May 2022.
 
Starting at 10 am we will be open all day.
 
We will have Chapel en le Frith (Central) in OO in operation as well as Plymouth Friary Shed in O gauge and Durham *N gauge) under construction on display. Other layouts will be included and we will list these on this calendar post. Demonstration and help with your modelling problems will be available
 
Our Clubrooms are on the 3rd floor but there is a  NO lift available for those that need it.   - A recent occurrence has meant currently the lift is only available for GOODS operation only.
 
Currently the floor we are on does not have any disability access toilets .. there are plans to do this in the near future as part of a major building refurbishment. Many apologies
 
We will have simple refreshments on sale
 
Car Park available outside.. Westfield House is an Old repurposed Mill Building. We hope to have a sign outside facing the main road to explain where we are.

    

The flagship event of the EM Gauge Society is back for 2022 and will take place over the weekend of May 14th/15th at the now well-established venue of Bracknell Leisure Centre. On display will be at least eight finescale layouts representing the best in 4mm scale modelling. In addition there will also be an opportunity to view the winning entries in the ‘Chairman’s Challenge EMGS Track Competition’. Plus we still have our guest layout feature, this year in the form of Foston Mills in 7mm scale. As usual there will be plenty of opportunity to stock up on modelling supplies with a good range of specialist traders in attendance. In addition there will be a variety of ‘Show you how’ demonstrations and other special interest society stands. There will also be the EM and P4 test track, the EMGS trade stand - selling amongst other things, the Society’s range of EM track and points, in addition to the ever popular members’ second hand sales.

The Ely & District Model Railway Club is pleased to confirm that our annual exhibition returns after a gap of two years because of the pandemic. The date is confirmed as Saturday 21 May 2022 and will take place at the usual venue, the Ely College, Downham Road, Ely, CB6 3DY. This year’s exhibition is dedicated to our former exhibition manager, Malcolm Hine, who sadly passed away last November. He had organised 16 previous exhibitions.
The exhibition opens from 10.30 to 16.30, admission is £6 for adults, £3 for children (5-16), under fives free, with a family ticket at £15. We hope to be able to accept card payments More details can be found on the club’s Facebook page and our website https://elymrc.org.uk.

Layouts attending include Bishops Lane Brewery (7mm/O), Nonsuch (7mm narrow gauge), Burnham (4mm/OO), Templefield (4mm/OO), War & Peace Rolvenden (4mm/OO), Shortwaite Hill (4mm/OO9), Royston Wharf (4mm/OO9), Orford (7mm/O), Questa (7mm/On30), Bay City Terminal Railroad (HO), Longstone (1:24/Gn15), Scarborough North Bay Railway (4mm/OO9). Royston & District Model Engineering will be in attendance with live steam. Demonstrations include wagon building, Tony Wright's Loco Clinic and Gauge 1 wagons. Traders include Bob Pearman Books, H&A Models, Layouts 4 U, Great Eastern Models, Coastal DCC, Railway Memories, Great Eastern Transport Films, Railway Memorabilia and Just in Case (model storage).

    

The Thamesiders Model Railroad Group is hosting the National Model Railroad Association's May Meet at Feering, Essex. Thamesiders will have their HO and N scale modules set up for running and demonstrations, and we have several traders lined up including the NMRA British Region Library.

    

The  club are holding an exhibition/open day at the Milland Memorial Village Hall on Sunday 29th May.

      In support of the Risborough Festival on 9th July 2022, the Risborough & District Model Railway Club will be holding an Open Day at the Princes Risborough St. Mary's Hall (Church Street) from 13:00 to 17:00. We plan to part exhibit our model of Aylesbury station, as well as our Test Track for members of the public to test their rolling stock on. We will also be exhibiting our Shunting Puzzle for members of the public to test their wits. There will be second hand sales, refreshments and some modelling displays.
