  1. Hi I’m currently slowly building an old 00 gauge southeastern finecast LNER N5 locomotive and wondered ,is there a suitable sound file out there for this loco ? regards Brian

  4. Thanks to threads like this one and good advertising by the York team , knew what was going to be exhibited before I went ,so knew if my hobby needs would be met before planning a visit regards Brian
  5. Me and the boy went today and it was a great day out . A high standard of modelling layouts and trade and demos. Very friendly atmosphere, but I think the guy on the till at squires models has to be the nicest and most polite trader I’ve ever met .(he may be guy that owns it not sure ) had a great conversation with him about upcoming things from them great show Regards Brian
  6. Wentworth junction on the worsbrough branch was the home of the U1 garrett Monday to Friday it only went back to its parent shed mexbough at the weekends I believe wentworth junction was classed as a sub shed of mexbough even though there was no actual shed just a siding and water tower the banking locos getting their coal from the nearby wentworth silkstone colliery by using their loading shute
  7. Alan’s layout will be at Neepsend model railway show in April from last update pics I’ve seen it’s not far off being ready Regards Brian
  8. I’m hoping to make the York show this year looking forward to seeing it in the flesh Brian
  9. I think tinsley west could make one heck of a diorama or small layout Brian
  10. I’ve never seen a picture of the signalbox either unfortunately don’t think I know anyone that has, it’s an enigma of a signalbox lol if I ever drop on one I’ll be sure to let you know Regards Brian
  11. Yes it’s heading up the bank with wombwell main junction and aldham estate in the distance I’ll see if I can find some that have relevance to mikes thread I don’t want to drag it off the topic of wentworth junction Regards Brian
  12. I think they’re cement wagons but mabe wrong here’s another picture of them this time at wombwell main junction sidings just down the line Again one of my late uncles photos Regards Brian
  13. Been in conversation with a friend and he thinks the change in signalling is due to the abolition of strafford crossing signalbox the date I’ve got for that is Strafford crossing sb shut 27th feb 1966 Regards Brian
  14. Now I’m not too sure exactly how this worked but by accounts of someone that worked at the pit they didn’t have a loco there and was done with gravity picture from Facebook group I run regards Brian
