  1. Added to that Jim i sprained myself there about a month ago pushing supermarket trolley now got pain in groin and testicle and cant walk much. All new to me never had any issues like this before, had a slipped disc back in 1989 and the pain is similar. Working on Heljan Falcon i bought cheap couple of years ago, different drive train seems ok, very heavy chassis and had to reroute the wiring as it goes over the holes where the screws to hold the body on go through.
  2. Would the contents of the containers degrade if left in that heat for an extended length of time?
  3. Well our starlings are back even with decimated hedge where they lived last year. Ten fighting to get into the watering hole this morning, they love their bathing!
  4. Maybe sometime, making a low relief plate bridge and retaining walls for other end of shed. Also as you can see behind the inspection saloons i have scratch built a small low relief factory with yard in front. This will be a small garage specialising in Jowett car repairs. I had several Javelins in the sixties.
  5. All back here, a pair of greenfinches appeared last week as they do every year. Our two hedgehogs have reappeared, snorting noisely at 10pm last night. Its quieter next door as the overgrown hedge went last year so we lost the starlings.
  6. These things happen, would have to be on that ship! I wonder how long that will take plus was there any damage to the stern/bow i wonder?
  7. Finally able to do a bit of modelling but still not well. Got a urinary tract infection back in January, pumped full of antibiotics, three different ones with side effects, no energy or appetite. Now got prostate issue and had to go private to get a hosp appointment. Seems there is blood in my urine , awaiting further tests with camera etc. Joys of being over seventy! I bought two inspection saloon projects last year from Mike Cole both in need of work. One is DS1 and the other a conversion from a 50ft kitchen car..
  8. I wonder if they are on the Ever Given? Alan
  9. Thats a shame Mike is it a bogie issue do you think? I have a rake of the Darstaeds and v pleased with them. I have completed both of your Inspection saloons back in January but been ill with UTIs and groin strain since.
  10. Yes thats right, i have built nearly all over the years but prefer RTR now!
  11. You have to remember that the PRMRP kit range first appeared in the early 1980s and are mostly unchanged. Google Post War Prototypes.
  12. Thats the dc version, not sure when the dcc ones will be arriving?
  13. On Tower Models site (21Jan) they are still waiting for updates.
  14. I replaced all mine with nickel silver wire, fine now.
  15. He has grown quite a lot, his name is Hercules but we call him Teddy. He is coming up for ten and was very neglected before we bought him from Blue Cross in Torquay. He is so affectionate to both my wife and me and a great boost for us as our son has Aspergers and ocd.
  16. Our rescue cat is very handy at this time of the year as a furry scarf!
  17. Jim, I remember when he first bought these out, i always hankered after a corridor first in Southern greeen but he didnt do that variant. I like the roof etches, very prototypical, pity JLTRT didnt do them on thier Mk 2s.
  18. Peter Cowling does resin curtains they are very realistic.
  19. I always check the feedback, in this case sixteen negatives in last month says it all. Alan
  20. Tower told me mid Dec for 122 and dcc with sound mid January plus mk 1 SK/BSK only to start at similar date.
  21. See below, tried on desktop no go but ok from android.
  22. Work continues, now finally finished the parcel depot apart from some more furniture etc to add. I changed the openings to roller shutter doors using sheets from ModelRailwayScenery.com. which are quite effective. My loco shelter that i built some fifteen years ago has had a refresh with new roof and i have built a pit under it. Just finishing a bridge at the far end of the shed by ulitising part of the plate section that was in my other shed on the original garden layout. Had some delaminating on a section outside so used some galvanised plate and stainless bolts to bring it back together. I used some small pieces of copper sheet under the track to level it up. Now got a monitor in the shed and several cameras around the layout making it easier to spot issues. Cant upload any photos atm Alan
  23. Thanks Mick, so is the Revell Aqua colour range different to these then as I thought acrylic paint was all the same? Regards Alan
