  1. Still waiting for my membership pack to arrive.... Has anyone who has joined the TT club from outside UK recived thiers yet?
  2. You get 200 points worth £2.00 when you sign up/register for it. If you already have a Hornby account you just log in and add rewards to the accout.
  3. You do not need an adaptor track, as been mentioned previously, Peco code 55 is in effect code 80 rail, it the way its been manafacturued to look like code 55. To join to code 80 track use the standard N rail joiners.
  4. When I used to dabble in 'N' I experimented with both code 80 & 55 track, the rail joiners are the standard N gauge ones suitable for both code 55 & 80, the only thing you would need to do was to shim up the code 55 to make a smooth transition to the code 80, so as far as I can understand it, the Peco code 55 should be able to join up with the code 80 from Hornby.
  5. Finally received my TT club magazine today, still awaiting membership pack. The club magazine had stamped postage from Austria and Belgium. 🙄
  6. I get the same if I try and pre-order, free UK shipping when I'm in Ireland 🇮🇪. Like you I'm interested in the 08, BR blue version.
  7. Page 120 of TT:120, wonder how many more pages before we get to see some actual products?🙃
  8. What does he know! Does he work for Hornby? Saw one of his youtube videos once and that was enough.
  9. For anyone interested in the size comparison, Got my Tillig starter set out this evening just for a bit of fun. From left to right, we have a Bachmann 00 class 25, A Roco H0 class 216 diesel, then Tillig TT:120 Traxx loco. Have to say that the Tillig loco is a nice quite and smooth runner. To me it is a nice size and not as fiddly as N gauge!
  10. Same as me except I went for the DB version, got it about two months ago and very impressed. My eventuall TT:120 layout will definantly be rule 1, with mix of European and UK stock. My railway! 😀 https://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/Sets/Freight+Train+Sets/Tillig-01448/gb/modell_313355.html
  11. I have had a couple of items in the past returned to uk. Anpost, the Irish postal service at one time would just stop packages just because the scanners could not read the barcodes. Last year seemed to be the worst, but seems to have settled down now. There's is plenty of discussion on the subject of Customs etc in the sub thread 'buying and selling to/from europe' in the German railways thread.
  12. I live in Ireland, joined on the 10th Oct, nothing since the conformation email when I first sigend up apart from the Hornby email today mentioning the delays due to demand.
  13. Just had the same email myself. 🙃
  14. At the moment they are pre-order, you can add them to your basket/cart on the Hornby website by clicking the pre-order now button. Hope this helps. https://uk.Hornby.com/products/br-class-08-0-6-0-08489-era-7-tt3001m
  15. Same with me, mine must be lost in the Irish Sea lol.....🙂
  16. Had email from Hornby yesterday, due to the popularity of the TT:120 club, they advised that it may now take up to 60 day for my packege to arrive. At least if you log in to the Hornby website to place an order, it regonises you as a member and applies the discount. Regards, John
  17. RE: Hornby TT:120 Club, I have just had this reply from Hornby about the TT:120 club; "Hi John Thank you for your email. Due to the large demand for this club, it may take up to 60 days for your pack to arrive. Kind Regards, Joanne Grant Customer Service Advisor" Regards, John
  18. As you say in real life they dont look too bad, much better then the 00 tension lock, in my view. I think what makes them look bad and stand out in the photos is them being black, which the camera picks up. However once on the layout and any weathering carried out then they wont stand out as much then. Looking foward to getting an 08.
  19. Still awaiting mine, maybe delayed in post with therecent Royal Mail strikes and then An Post in Dublin can soometiems be a bit slow sorting mail from UK now!
  20. Looks good. Think I will put in an order for one😀
  21. Same with me too, I joined on the 10th also. Maybe a quick email to Hornby later for an update if I don't have anything in the post today.
  22. Looking foward to my copy arriving soon.
  23. Apologies if already posted! How about a Kettle, I mean Steam loco on MK3's.
