Oh dear, over in a "social-media place" a contact has recently posted that: "I {She} doesn`t know how to tell anyone and is sick of hiding it; I`m gay!" The content {I`m sure} is actually part of an internet "dare-you" game..........those friends that were suckered into commenting, were (mostly) supportive; although there was one that seemed disproportionally put-out; or perhaps that`s part of the jolly-jape? There have been other 'dare-you' posts doing the rounds too, based on "hit & run car crash" and a "cancer diagnosis"......in my view, all in exceptionally poor taste.......but clearly not in the eyes of those with a loose giggle-pin. Begs the question; what if someone were really asking for support on some fundamental issue: after all, as shallow as such places often are, a social media presence is how very-many of the 'now generation' live..........are folks going to treat any future such 'open' posts asking for support/counsel with complete disdain and contempt, having been comprehensively suckered previously? I know!............I`m sounding like an old fogey.

Not gate-crashed; surely, they`d simply entrance using the right key! Thanks Jock: Great-Uncle Richard remains unwell in the CCU; to lose one`s beloved after 60 years of devoted-marriage; his heart must indeed be broken.

Not a good day: long car journey to attend my Great-Aunt`s funeral.......several weeks have elapsed since her death; as in that Borough, there`s a long wait for an appointment-window to hold services/burials {such delays in 'arrangements' seem very hard on those in mourning} A series of grueling "High-Church" service/s followed, which clearly over-taxed those already terribly distressed in bereavement..........and then my Great Uncle (who`s 89) suffered a heart attack at the wake and had to be de-fibbed and whisked off to intensive care. There`s a lot to be said for 'no-fuss' and prompt final arrangements. Neil`s update is absolutely shocking........a devastating event.

Not something you see every day! "Jet Pipe Chap" welcomes the arrival of the Queen Victoria cruise ship alongside at Liverpool this morning *credit and thanks to Dave/Mebo2 for these photographs; as I [stupidly} didn`t have my camera with me!

I have a mental image of Brer-Brock, laying supine in your garden lounger, whilst wearing Speedos and sipping earthworm juice!

Aside from the front pipe, intermediate resonator, middle pipe, hangars and rear muffler: my Peugeot`s exhaust system is totally original! Our trip out in the pup-mobile this morning was accompanied by the sight of small children hiding behind their mother`s skirts and young boys pointing and laughing; such was the risible rasp from `neath our Pup-Pug ...........The only part of its exhaust path not replaced at the motor-garage last month, has now become stentorian; its 'steel' {sic} looks like fromage suisse!

Saturday mornings of my youth were oft` begun with a visit to Hobbies in Basnett St. Liverpool.

I see that airframe is fitted with "countermeasures", aft..............so likely from an active squadron or "Purple Airways" *Countermeasures being the nacelles at lower-aft (Port & Starboard): for chaff or decoy-flare launchers.

"all you're required to do"...........the problem being precisely that kind of thinking; for, I am not 'required' to do or say anything. There are constraints and prohibitions concerning behaviour outside polling stations during polling; the presence of a policeman previously ensured they were observed; sadly, since the removal of such a presence, there now appears to be a pushing of the boundaries by 'overly keen' activists whom have fashioned a quasi-official role for themselves. Before entering the polling station today, I was challenged by camp-followers to "produce" my polling card and also asked "whom I would be supporting?".......and once again upon leaving, I was asked "to share" how I had voted {aided by them creating an exit-queue} ..........None of which is supposed to occur!

That`s the beauty of the freedoms of thought and personal privacy; we can exercise them.
