  1. At least the rivet counters can count. They can count how many missing spring parts are on the tender.
  2. While you’re all getting bogged down with how much the credit card is getting a bashing and what coaches it pulled, I’m left wondering how the sound file work is going, after all it’s costing an additional £100!
  3. Is there any update on the sound file, to quote the AS website project update in November. ‘We're delighted that the sound file we are preparing will sound fantastic though, and will demonstrate it in the new year’ I could have asked direct at Ally Pally but forgot.
  4. Great, so lots of fuss and drama about a potential leak of an announcement just to grab everyone’s attention. Announce the announcement or be quiet. I’ve got work to do.

    Heljan BOC Tanks

Snip the small spigots off, either side of the bogie mounting. You need to removed the bogie first then you will see what I mean.
  6. First show of 2024 is booked and confirmed, one day show in Weston-super-Mare on Sunday 14th Jan https://bdmrc.co.uk/14-january-2024-exhibition/
  7. I can’t even get past the initial make a booking tab, it flashes up then disappears and take me back to the card details screen. It’s either broken or so crap it given up on itself in disgust for being so difficult.
  8. Has anyone had the misfortune of using the NEC Voyage Control website for booking vehicle passes for build up? It must have been designed by someone who absolutely hates IT and anyone that wants to use it. I'm stuck in an infinite loop trying to book a slot and now think it would be easier to catch the train and walk in. I downloaded the user guide and that has 18 steps of how to make a booking. Its utterly ridiculous. I really cant be bothered and its putting me off ever wanting to go there again.
  9. Had a brief look a the PXA today and it’s a work of art, absolutely fantastic. Such a cool looking wagon.
  10. Today is the second day of our last show for 2023, please come along to the 50th Redditch Model Railway show at Trinity School. http://www.redditch-mrc.com/Redditch Show - Introduction 2023.htm
  11. Pretty sure one hauled a parcels service out of York around 92/93. There was a pic in Rail mag.
  12. Most likely a full size mock up of concept design that came from Derby Litchurch Lane. Or possibly a spare for an export design.
  13. They have released a blue and grey version, that would be as converted, much the same as the NSE version is.
  14. I’ll measure Hastings next time I’m at Shackerstone, that got different bogies again but just out of curiosity, I’ll see what height this comes out at.
  15. Those trains were regular through Leamington, 40 wagons was the norm. The Queen Mary brake van was apparently carrying BTP officers due to thefts from cars.
  16. Nick, I went a different route in the 90’s using MJT side and Southern Pride Model roof and chassis parts, it’s now being completely rebuilt with new mechanics and a Hornby VEP front end. Apologies for the thread hijack!
  17. I have made up a couple, with the other pair imminent. Very easy to put together, still need to add the additional details.
  18. I saw Neds just a couple of days before your post, great night but have some blanks caused by beer! Supported by Bentley Rhythm Ace who were, ace!
  19. We are please to announce the following event, to be held at the DEMU showcase exhibition at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall
  20. I see you have gone a different route with yours, with the panto well further back. I’ll have to dig out the photos of mine, without wishing to hijack your topic!

  23. I have also been working on some new stock, a 4 REP and tube stock for the underground section
