  1. Hi Tony, please feel free to add my contribution to his pain. All the best Adrian.
  2. Hi Tony, I seem to be sharing the same problem regarding the loss of 10 years of worth images affecting my enthusiasm for posting further images of progress on the new bit of railway that I am modelling at the moment, this in turn results in the old Mojo keep going off to hide in places that I can't seem to coax him out of, even with the promise of a can of beer if he comes out. I am glad that you have found some motivation and have made progress in restoring some images. All the best Adrian.
  3. Hi Simon, some pictures that I have of the model of the Metal Box Factory, I have got other pictures which I will dig out for you over the next few days. good luck with your build it's a interesting part of town. All the best Adrian. https://www.google.com/maps/@51.5044042,-0.0972966,3a,75y,286.96h,92.38t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sqwdjjAkUXEgACpMTIDdK6g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
  4. Hi Shaun, great pics as usual, I like your idea for the weir it looks like it will work interesting to see how it dries out. Hoping that your enthusiasm returns and you feel better. All the best Adrian.
  5. Hi, video of down the line to Hawkhurst about 2mins in you can see the junction where the sidings were.

  7. Hi, I came across this whilst looking for the fruit packing sheds near Horsmonden, it is quite a long read but might have some clues to Thirkells siding. All the best Adrian. https://tunbridgewells.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/343899/33013-HPLHG-DBA-Volume-1-Report-low.pdf
  8. Hi Chris, this is a picture that I took at the Black Country Museum which might give you some good reference points for a model, it might be possible to have one half as a stable and the other half as the business office.
  9. Hi Chris, this might be of interest. All the best Adrian. https://www.victorianlondon.org/publications6/horse-10.htm https://igg.org.uk/rail/8-yards/y-coal.htm
  10. HI Shaun, who needs Mojo when you can build to that quality and finish. All the best Adrian
  11. No this isn't a story about the Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe it's about an old chipboard wardrobe door that's being repurposed as a platform and road. It will provide the base level for this and will covered and edged. Some pictures of progress. All the best Adrian.
  12. Might be this that you are thinking of. http://www.alangibsonworkshop.com/RTR Drill.pdf https://www.dccconcepts.com/product/bearing-reamers-set-of-two-ho/
  13. Hi Shaun, perhaps is gone on a mission to find all the missing pictures. Hope it comes back soon Adrian.
  14. Hi, I will be following Bankside with great interest to see out it evolves, I am pleased that the buildings have found a good home and that you can make some use of them. All the best Adrian.
  15. Some further work has been done on the right hand corner of the board, the brambles have been extended and brought down further to where the signal box will be, and some more bushes and a gate have been added by the bridge, also a couple of trees along with a small backscene to complete the corner. The trees have been made from spirea japonica which was growing in the garden. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiraea_japonica. My favourite method for trees is to grow Teloxis Aristata from seed which i did last year for Brasted Station, I would have posted the pictures of them but they have all vanished into the ether. and thinking that I wouldn't need any more, none were planted this year. As an interim substitute this is what I have used till I can get some seeds and plant some more. Firstly they were trimmed down and florists wire was used to bind the trunks together, some of the jute hanging basket liner which has been used for the brambles was stripped and sprayed matt brown along with the branches, this was then draped across the branches and sprayed with some of Mrs W Stations hair spray, Woodland Scenics foliage was dropped over it and fixed with spray. Some pictures so far, work will now start on the left hand corner. All the best Adrian.
  16. Hi Kevin, simply superb. All the best Adrian.
  17. The bridge is finished and the landscaping up to it is now completed, hopefully learning from previous mistakes I have made the bridge removable for track cleaning and any other gremlins that might happen underneath it. Undergrowth brambles etc have been made using jute hanging basket liner which has been stripped off the backing and sprayed matt brown then placed in position then sprayed with hair spray and sprinkled with summer foliage, static grass and pastel chalks. I will describe the tree making in my next post. All the best Adrian.
  18. Thanks Andy for all your efforts and the update on the situation, I am sure that the greater majority of RMwebbers fully understand and applaud the fact that you go above and beyond in your work with this site. All the best Adrian.
