  1. Hi all... I’m looking for an exGNR/LNER 6 wheel tender for a Nu-Cast J6 I’m building. If anyone has an unbuilt, part built or built one they would be interested in selling me I’d be very grateful. Cheers. Chris
  2. Thank you guys! 1F makes total sense. Looks to have options for either round top or bell pair fireboxes & open or enclosed cabs. Cheers Chris
  3. Hello all.... I have a collection of 3mm finescale loco & rolling stock kits that I’m looking to list on eBay soon & I’m struggling to definitively identify one of them. My thoughts are it maybe a MR/LMS Johnson 2F 0-6-0t or possibly options for an open cab Johnson 3F 0-6-0t? Sadly no instructions with this one so no obvious indication there. The etch does have Craftsman Models on it so I’m assuming it’s origins are a 4mm scale etch from their range reduced for the 3mm society. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Chris
  4. Morning chaps Apologies for this not being an update of substantial modelling activity. Instead it’s shameless plug for some bits I’ve listed on eBay. There are 19 listing in total so have a look at my ‘other items’. I’ve shared a link of few to pique interest. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=233710565286&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=233710546945&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=233710325826&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229508&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111 Cheers guys. 12. Evening... Looking for a little help identifying what prototype this open wagon is. I think it’s either a D&S or ABS kit. Cheers Chris
  13. Evening all. I just thought I’d share this afternoons efforts with you. A couple of LNWR opens built from Ratio kits. Nothing particularly special about those I here you all cry.... Well if I was to tell you there were built by my 9 year old son Arthur (with some input from Dad but not to much) I hope you’d agree that they are rather good. The five plank was started by my other son Wylder who is 7 but sadly only got as far as attaching the ends & sides to the floor before losing interest & going to play in the garden. So Arthur completed both of them. He really enjoyed making them & has already said we need to build a brake van for them now. Here he is cutting the running gear out Attaching the springs & axle boxes Brakes fitted nearly done We even went as far as to ‘future proof’ them by setting the brakes so that a set of EM wheels can be dropped in at a later date so they can be run on ‘dads track’. Cheers Chris
  14. Truly amazing modelling!!! I'm particular taken with the 'castle' nuts. Is it rude to ask what scale it is?
  15. Evening I couldn't say for sure what the state of play will be this weekend regards the rail network. I would suggest that anyone travelling to the show via public transport to just double check what the status of their service is for the weekend. https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/strike Cheers Chris
  16. Nobody? I’m not sure that’s right Andrew.

  18. Replacement layout added to the line up. O gauge industrial shunting puzzle - Amalgamated Wagon Works by Ben Lord. Cheers Chris
  19. Unfortunately the 00 LMS layout Conistone has had to withdraw from this years exhibition. We’re hoping it should be able to attend next year. A replacement layout or layouts are currently being considered. I’ll update the list when we’ve got a replacement confirmed. Cheers Chris
  20. Definitely be rigid chassis. Edited to keep the spelling Police happy.
  21. Hi Tom Yes the route selected will be lit up by LEDs running along it as I understand. The electronics for the layout are very impressive & is a credit to Frank & Bill who are the main people behind them. Also another member Mike has been building up the various component panels that operate each baseboard that has mechanical operation such as turnouts, signalling, the un-coupleling magnets & retarding pins. I'll try & get a pic of the main control panel & a shot of the insides showing all the work that has gone into assembling them. Very neat. I by a long way nowhere near understand electronics to the extent as some in the group but I see a lot of soldering rail droppers to bus bars & plumbing in turnout motors in my near future. Once the layout gets partially packed away to make way for other club layouts to be set up getting them ready for our exhibition in September we'll be up ending Claytons boards to start the mammoth wiring task. Cheers Chris
