  1. Hi I wondered if you could help me I have the z21 which for 2 years has run on my home network. I recently decided to run my Virgin router as a modem and use my own router which is the ASUS gaming router and has the new faster wifi protocol. Anyway my z21 stopped working. I decided to reset it back to factory settings and for now use it with the originally supplied router. I can connect to the tp link no issue but I cannot conect to the z21 I have tried everything pc directly conected, I-pad, Samsung s20 with android but nothing will work. I decided to set up the system as it was when working with the virgin router as a router again and everything worked perfectly again. I am at a loss as the z21 settings are as factory set. To connect to my new router which setting do I need to change I do understand networking but am not an expert but cannot remember which setting I need to change for it to work through my new router. I used the virgin router originally without having to change any settings and because I could never get the TP-LINK to work I would greatfully appreciate any help.

the router settings will be off if you reset it, the Z21 is very peculiar about router settings

  2. Hi thanks for your reply as stated I have no issue with the DVD having a section on the real railways but in all honesty and I think most would agree if I wanted to see real railways I would be buying a different magazine all together, The whole reason I and many others choose BRM is because of the excellent tips, Product reviews and how too segments which is what makes BRM the best model railway magazine there is.
  3. Thanks Howard for that information, I have no issue with seeing real railways on the DVD it's just when the whole DVD is about them, The whole point of buying a modeling magazine is to see tips and information about modeling and I think most would agree let's face it if I wanted a magazine all about preserved railways and the real thing I would be buying a totally different magazine in the first place.
  4. T he reason I chose BRM over all the other magazines is the content of the DVD which used to have several different sections, There would be product reviews, The section showing how to which was brilliant, It now seems the DVD has become all about visiting preserved railways. Don't get me wrong I do like to see the preserved railways but I also loved the other topics covered are you going to do the other topics again on the DVD or is this now how it is, I wish to know as if this is now how it is I will be cancelling my subscription. Regards
  5. Hi when did you E-mail them as i spoke to them today at 10am about all the issues and was given a return code. i do not like to bash any company especially British but it seems to me that having products built the other side of the world is not working out to well. Surely with the amount of mistakes that are made it would be better to start making products back in the UK. Things could be put right without much delay and the company would have full control over its products. Just a thought.
  6. Basically after a lot more research it would seem before the 90s it was in dark Brown and after it was a lighter Brown when i saw the loco in person in the 80s it was defiantly dark Brown, As for the nameplates they should have Brown backgrounds but more recently the Alex did have Black. The issue is and correct me if i am wrong but most people will want to run these with Pullman coaches and as the only decent ones (Actually excellent) are Hornby would it not have been sense economically and cosmetically to match the shade of Brown with them. What really baffles me is i had a Dapol N gauge Alex and Brighton and both where in the darker Brown.
  7. Very much doubt it as usual it will get swept under the nearest rug.
  8. Hi thanks for your reply Sanspareil, I am running with the proper lit Pullman coaches which are all the same shade as the Hornby Pullman loco. As i want it to run with these it looks way out of place so will now fully detail my Hornby one instead.
  9. I spent some time researching last night and can defiantly say that the oo gauge Brighton Evening Argus is defiantly way too light, Such a shame as i was so looking forward to this loco but it looks awful against my coaches, I also think that the font for Pullman does not look right either. Anyway mine is making its way back to the shop for a full refund.
  10. Hi all can someone please help i received my class 73 Pullman today and detail wise it is awesome against the Hornby version but the shade of Brown looks way to light, So my question is the Dapol brown to light or the Hornby to dark or are both just wrong.
