Has anyone purchased the Highland Rail BR Blue Class 08? From all the pictures which I have seen of the model there is no difference between the standard BR Blue and Highland Rail branding unless all the shops are using incorrect stock pictures of the model? Surely it should have the Highland Rail white stag like the prototype but the model doesn’t seem to have this. Can anyone provide a picture to confirm if it is fitted. Otherwise it’s description should be changed
  2. They are too wooden for me and are good for only one thing.... bbq’s
  3. The only problem with that philosophy is that once each class of BR Blue & Large Logo loco is covered what will they have left? Maybe the sales of BR Blue to them seems popular but maybe this due to people settling for that era when there is not enough models to do a model based around the 90’s or post privatisation. Had there been a wider spectrum like in OO Gauge would the result still be the same?
  4. I forgot to say that there could be a possibility for the Class 68 but I don’t know how popular these would be compared to a pre-EWS Era engine.
  5. My personal opinion is that I would expect Dapol to choose a popular OO Gauge model to be the next release in O Gauge. So Class 22 which the Class 29 could be done with some changes to produce a completely new model. The possibility I see is the Class 73. As I don’t know their small scale range I don’t know what was popular or what they produced.
  6. A few months ago I purchased the Dapol O Gauge 7MM Police Telephone Box which I believe is 2” tall. I know that this is not quite MR related but I have been trying to find suitable figures to go with the model. I am looking for either Doctor Who figures or something similar. I have only been able to find larger figures. Apart from getting myself scanned I am struggling to find anything suitable. Has anyone come across any suitable figures as I want to use it as a cameo on my 7MM Layout. Or is there a bigger Police Box? John
  7. Many thanks James You have done an excellent job there and I look forward to receiving the model. If anyone doesn’t have the time or skills to weather I would 100% recommend James’s work
  8. I hope this is the correct place to post. If not then sorry and please feel free to move to correct section. A few years ago I believe in one of the railway magazines, possibly Rail Express there was an article on the period when loco's were painted in Trainload Petroleum Sector livery. I do not have the majority of my magazines now, but I believe there was a section listing all the fleet of Class 47's allocation to the Shell pool, with varies Shell related names and where each locomotive was first painted into the Petroleum livery. I seem to remember a small handful which were repainted over a period of time at Hull Dairycoates steam shed. Also at one point I remember going with my Dad to Hull Dairycoates as he had seen a repainted Class 47 parked next to the shed. I unfortunately do not remember when this was or which one it was. Is it possible some remembers which of the Class 47's were repainted there and if any other diesels in the 1980's or 1990's were also repainted there please (not necessarily the same livery). I am looking at the possibility of modelling a 7mm/O Gauge Class 47 which would have been painted there along with one or two other possibilities. TIA, John

The Class 09’s appear when you search Gaugemasters website. I will post a link shortly. Ivor is not a Class 09, it is a Class 08 - previously 08600 so this is an odd choice. Has been mentioned on a FB Group post by someone else that they were doing 5x liveries but only 3x stated. We will hopefully see what transpires.
  11. I am currently using the XL Chip with Legomanbiffo sound. One of the motors is disabled due to being used for light loadings and I am not bothered about having a working fan. I plan to get another for my 2nd Class 20 but not sure on mixing different sounds from different people
  12. Huey as in the band or helicopter or someone being sick (not chuck) So who pronounces Dacia Dach-a?
  13. This is excellent news Team Minerva. I shall also be pre-ordering at the Doncaster O Gauge Show. I will have to start saving the pennies as I would like one of the HDC versions but also have one repainted into BR Blue as per the CTRL loanee. So, who will be first to model the Loadhaul version?
  14. Hi Richard I guess that young lad didn’t come back Sunday or Monday with his Mum for Charlie to explain DCC & what the extra C was?
  15. I am now sorted with a Lenz Set 100. Many Thanks for people’s help/advice
  16. Oh, so stating an opinion is not allowed? I’m not a ‘Yes man’. Good for you if you fancy throwing money in the pot. As I said it is not for me.
  17. Not for me. No benefits for me. I can see how it might benefit others. As for the Classifieds I can sell and advertise for free on FB if or when I need to. Also I don’t read BRM & I don’t want to. Not being negative just stating a fact.
  18. Do you know of anyone who has the Hattons Beilheck Snowplough? I would be interested to know if anyone has scanned just the plough section to recreate the following in 7MM?
  19. So what does this mean for other items originally designated by the RHC like 91132, 58050 & others which I cannot remember. Not sure if Class 60 was included?
  20. The birdcage was the cage on the road bridge which went around down the side of the shed next to the footpath. The other side was a load of bushes.
  21. Are you 100% sure it was a Class 58? These never carried BR Blue. They were released in Railfreight Grey with Red Stripe. It is likely to be the Class 66/7 in Large Logo Blue. The only Cl 58’s are on Preserved Railways. 58016 is still in LR undergoing restoration into Railfreight Triple Grey - Coal Sector Livery. Also some parts have been loaned to the Battlefield Railway Class 58 in order to get it up and running.
  22. Just a quick question. Not sure if right thread to ask. What happens to all the Lenz LH100's which are being traded in please? Is it just the handsets which are being traded in or the Full Set100's? As I see it they are being traded in with the U.K. Supplier and it returns to Germany for recycling? Are they in good working order when traded, or have wear and tear such as buttons not working? If there is a way that I can purchase a Set100, could someone PM me as I am not too keen on the new Lenz controllers. As someone new to DCC I have tried the LH100 and I prefer the buttons and this setup compared to a rotary dial. If these are going back to the manufacturer, why can't they be sold to someone who wishes to purchase a Set 100? I would have thought from all the controllers and amplifiers. You would be able to piece together the odd one or two working Set 100's to anyone wanting a fairly simple but reliable controller plus amp? I have checked a certain auction site but the only ones available are in the USA and I prefer to trade in the UK.
  23. I believe 66952 has an extra door in the bodyside from pictures which I have seen whereas 66951 doesn't.
