  1. Speaking to the Rapido guys today at Warley they said they should arrive before Christmas 😊
  2. I have a 108 with DCC sound fitted. It's great, apart from... The lights will not come on with DCC at all. When I programmed it the lights flickered, and when I tried on DC the lights came on, but when using on DCC the lights just do not come on. Anyone had similar issues or got any ideas?
  3. So, this might seem an unusual question. Had anybody tried using the Hunt couplings whilst also using Dapol magnetic couplings on the same railway? I was to try the Hunt couplings for coaching stock but also want to keep using the Dapol couplings for freight and for disconnecting locos from coaching stock, but I'm concerned that the magnets for the Dapol couplings will interfere with the Hunt couplings as they go over. Has anybody tried using both? I think I know the answer (expecting that it they will not be suitable to use both!) But worth the question at least!
  4. Did anybody know who produced the sound for the Revolution 92? I've got a standard version and was thinking of adding sound....
  5. Those remaining of the first batch are now up for sale to members. I just ordered the NCB maroon one. Had a hard time choosing livery but I could only go for one so as to leave space for another one when the other liveries arrive!
  6. Never mind! I just changed the decoder and it works now, must have been a duff decoder, it was just one I found in my box of stuff!
  7. Hi, I've just picked up a Garish class 37 avro Vulcan pack. I've plugged a Gaugemaster 6 pin decoder in and it runs nicely in both directions, but the lights won't come on at all. It's not an issue with the connections I don't think because the lights flicker when I program it, as per usual, but when it's on the main track they refuse to come on. Anyone else had this issue? I was wondering if I need to set a weird CV value or something but surely it would just be plug and play
  8. The only other next 18 ones I have are Dapol and they are fine with it, as are the 6 pin gaugemaster ones, sounds like it might just be something I'll have to put up with. I'm not so bothered l about l li turn power off, it's more l when it loses pick up from the track
  9. I have a couple of locos with zimo next 18 decoders. One is dcc sound. I've found that if the loco loses power or if I end up with a short anywhere on the layout, these decoders seem to turn all of the functions off completely, meaning I have to put all the functions how I want them again. This is especially annoying with the sound decoder! The other decoder is used on a fixed HST and is in a consist so it's also annoying but not as much as the sound one. It does seem isolated to just the Zimo next 18 decoders. I do have some 6 pin zimo decoders but they are in locos with lights or sound so I don't know how if they would do the same as the next 18 ones Does anybody know of a way to stop this happening, I want it so that if there is a loss of power to the loco this doesn't turn all The functions off?
  10. I will have a check of the rail joins this weekend and see if I can isolate an exact point where it jams, the right curve isn't particularly tight but I will look a bit closer and check the radius as well, I'll get back on here afterwards
  11. I got my sound fitted 8f last week and its brilliant apart from a slight issue when it comes around a left then right turn on the layout. When it's half way through the right turn the front drive wheels jam, so the whole thing stops and I have to 'click it' out of the jam before it will run again. I've had no issues with any other locos or rolling stock around this curve, anyone else had a similar issue or got any ideas?
