  1. Watch the ends when you make it the strapping at the bottom of the end doors can be extremely fragile and crumbles away very easily.
  2. Your loco looks amazing Richard yet again you have done it proud. At this rate I'm going to have to end up commissioning you to build some of my kits ;-).
  3. Just no stopping you is there Richard.... I'm sure you will have that finished before the weeks out ;-) lol...
  4. Just for the record there is an Acorn/Jim Harris kit on Ebay at the mo to make one. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201923804783
  5. Stick it in the freezer for an hour or more and the axles may shrink enough to get them back off. It sounds silly but it works on drive shafts if the bearings are tight to get off.
  6. Is it the same style as a 4mt? If so why not try MOK and see if they have spares.
  7. It's a shame peco don't do them in 00 their ones are quite exquisite for the size.....
  8. Train protection & warning system
  9. Peter Clark does them I don't know if they are identical to your photo but a close representation if it helps.
  10. Looks just like Didcot engine shed that does ;-)
  11. Isn't Didcot a loans act shed if so it well photographed and I'm sure there are plenty of drawings in books. It has the advantage that it's still standing to so you can pop along and get more details. As to how to make one depends on the scale you intend to do and how acurate you want to detail it. The other thing is how much you want to spend. Timber tracks do a couple of engine sheds in both 4 and 7mm I don't think they are loans act ones though. To get correct coursing of your brickwork it's very hard to do with plastikard though but a good representation can be made.
  12. Jeff I believe you can buy from the S7 stores as a none member buy you have to pay a slightly higher price. Try contacting them. They also have a guide that explains how to make things using the jigs that they may share with you. It's also worth becoming a member just to gain the access and info even if you don't plan to model in S7. I think it's currently £20 for the year but I stand corrected if I have that wrong.
  13. You don't necessarily need to buy a kit there are many instructions around in books and online as to how to make your own from scratch. The biggest cost it having your crossing and blades made for you. With a bit of extra work you can do this all yourself convienience of build comes with cost. You should still be able to make any point or slip for under £25 from the raw material parts.
  14. I bet it feels so good getting back to brass Richard. You have made a superb job of the buildings and those cattle wagons. I will send you some mineral wagon bits down if you run out of things to do I could do with another pair of hands here lol....
  15. The Bury Standard 4 80097 has the bunker vents fitted I have them on Facebook and there are several photos of them on there. Here is a link to an original photo of the loco I hope it helps. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=80097+loco&client=ms-android-samsung&source=lnms&prmd=mivn&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiCn8mNqbfPAhXFvRoKHVOdD4UQ_AUICCgC&biw=360&bih=512#imgrc=epqRmoMKr8rGwM%3A
  16. It looks superb Richard you have done yourself proud I can't wait to see the 74xx now...
  17. The 74xx along with some of the later 64xx's had a square shaped cut out at the back of the cab where it joins the bunker Richard hopefully this is covered in the kit.
  18. No Dave I think I sold you either a 57xx or a 72xx I can't remember which it was
  19. 74xx's visited Tetbury but I'm not sure if you could doctor a 54xx to make it a 74xx or if it's an option in the kit at all...
  20. It's looking excellent Richard you should be proud of yourself !!
  21. Hello Martyn I'm sure the 9f will be as amazing as all the MOK kits are. I'm building a standard class 4mt at the mo from one of their kits and It has to be the best kit I have ever come across so far. I'm just hoping the 9f will be as good if not better when it arrives...
  22. The difference is they locate and fit better than many of the JLTRT ones do Martyn. They have a more positive location for a start.
  23. Model sell various shaped drivers other than that it's the likes of Phoenix, Slaters & 0men they are all much of a muchness.
