  1. A few photos of 4866 taken at various times that might help. All my photos... I have plenty more taken around this loco inside and out if you want to check anything else....
  2. Antics have a Freightliner one on their site but it's a silly price £795. I brought and Re-wired a few of these about 10 years ago with the hope more stock would come. It never did so I sold them and the container flats on Ebay. They fell dead in the water because the range was so limited. I still have an EWS one that's stripped and half re-wired in the loft. There was no drop in solution for DCC at the time it meant ripping out most of the wiring changing resistors etc to make them work with an ESU XL3.5 at the time. Here is a link to the Antics one https://anticsonline.uk/N425/N639/N757_g-gauge-garden-railway/1640045_Freightliner-66610-Class-66-Freightliner-23202.html I hope Dapol etc do a range of wagons to go with their 0-gauge 66's when they arrive or they could end up on a thread like this to in 10 years time lol.....
  3. Buy some of this it will even solder stainless screws etc. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F262907128467
  4. Is this any help? I'm sure there is a either whitemetal or resin option available somewhere to. http://www.stensonmodels.co.uk/product/cradles-large-cc14d/
  5. I didn't know JLTRT ever took payments up front I stand corrected then. None the less it's a shame they ended up like they did. Back when they first started they used to send stuff with an invoice to pay after you got it.
  6. My point is although I didn't make it very clear was that most of the locos that have failed due to crowdfunding already existed as kits. The LMS twins and the Class 22 to mention a few of them in particular existed in the JLTRT range. Luckily they have been resurrected in the new MM1 company. Had everyone spent their possibly now lost money on them it may have been enough to keep JLTRT going. They never once asked for deposits or money up front..... I'm sure that Pete lost a great deal of his own money giving us the wonderful range that he did. Ps I have no connection to any of the above mentioned companies just a grateful previous customer and glad they ride again..
  7. Isn't it time everyone learnt a lesson from this !!!! Stick to your kit manufacturer who's already done the work........
  8. I brought the MOK kits and I'm glad I did worth every penny as all MOK kits are. There are several online builds on the guild site if you are a member. On the wheel note the MOK wheels are 2nd to none on the market at the mo and worth every penny.....
  9. The kit comes with 2 Chimneys. In the instructions they describe them as LMS Chimney and BR Chimney. See the attached photo. Sorry for the poor quality it's taken through the bag from an unstarted kit.
  10. What's wrong with this one ? They make up into lovely models. https://www.djhmodelloco.co.uk/prodpage.asp?productid=3048
  11. Buy one you wont regret it there is even an excellent online build of it to. You wont build it overnight but I defy anyone to scratch build a better one. Oh and Slaters do a lovely set of wheels to suit as well.
  12. Why not buy one of these? I doubt you could scratch build anything better for much less. All the detail in total accuracy is already done for you you wont need a separate drawing either....... https://www.djparkins.com/product.php?productid=18281&cat=321&page=1
  13. It's very sad news Richard was also the Chairman of the East Fife 0-gauge Guild. I have known Richard for a few years now since moving here he was always a true gentleman and will be sadly missed. Our hobby owes a great deal to him I'm sure a great many of us cut our teeth on a Parkside kit weather it be in 2mm, 4mm or 7mm scale. Another great loss to our hobby but at least his legacy carries on with Peco and is not lost like many things are. Richard was also quite a font of knowledge on local railway history having spent his early days working on the railway. Deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
  14. Unfortunately I just read the description on the web last night and the person had labelled it as a 57xx.... It will teach me not to post things whilst consuming alcohol next time though lol.... in the great light of day it actually looks more like a 56xx than the 57xx that it isn't. They are very similar though except for the springs. Sorry for any confusion though.
  15. Nice photo Miss Prism This was the link I was trying to send fingers crossed this time. It's not my photo it comes up on a link via Google search.
  16. Sorry it doesn't work... I typed in GWR 57xx back head in Google search half way down the page there is a photo of one. That was supposed to be the link to it but it doesn't seem to open the same so trry the search. I hope it helps.
  17. Have you seen this photo I found it on Google I hope it helps. https://goo.gl/images/EkdWJ8
  18. Most Parkside kits contain different options so do many other kits. You won't go wrong with a Parkside kit though just read the instructions carefully and like all kits research your prototype by finding good close up photos.
  19. Mark Wood does a nice set of wheels in 7mm for the Ivatt I have never used them myself but I have seen quite a few of them used on other people's loco's. If you get stuck it might be worth giving him a call. I think they are made to order though. Mark J
  20. I have glued it screwed it and pinned it before all work fine...
  21. I don't think Peco do offer this service although you can get spares and replacement bits if they are damaged though. Peco operate a totally different way to what Parkside did they make and pack exactly what they need to fill packets to sell where as Parkside used to run batches of stories then sit them on shelves ready to fill packets as needed. I had often gone into the Parkside factory and waited for bits to be put into boxes I doubt you could do that at Peco as the Parkside range is only one of many products that they do. The scale of operation is totally different.
  22. Michael any of Dave Sharps (MOK) kits are a dream to build. Most of them are very well covered on the different forums. There are 2 BR Standard kits in Dave's range plus one more to come. There is also the Ivatt which is a lovely kit if you are not tied to any theme most of these loco's could be found over most of the country by the time Diesel shunters came on the scene. By the way the MMP 08 kit is a lovely kit as are any of the MMP range of kits.
  23. Michael it's worth giving Dave Sharp the owner of MOK a ring as he often does short runs of the 8f that don't show up on his website. Also keep your eyes open on the various forums they often come up there. I got one complete with wheels earlier this year on the 0-gauge guild sales and wants page.
  24. Wizard models list heavy duty Hybox axleboxes but don't have a photo it may be worth giving them a call or email to see. https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/wagons/br-hybox-axlebox-brc026/
  25. By the way Ray with Dave's instructions you need to read the book twice the normal way then from the rear forward again at least once ;-). I hope you managed to get your problems sorted without too much trouble. I also broke a tap in one of them spring hangers on my first 4mt kit. The art is to make sure you run a drill all the way through then plenty of lubrication and just go in a turn at a time slow and gentle.
