Fantastic... this is one of those layouts where you need to come back every now and then for your 'fix'...!! JB.
  2. Ooooh, you're a harsh bunch.. I'll try harder next time.. JB.
  3. Just a quick one... J39 in the throws of weathering... more to do yet.. JB.
  4. J69 came out very nicely...! IIRC though... the engines with the drop down brake pull rods were freight only engines and had unbalanced wheels, non-screw couplings, and didn't have any brake hoses.. very simple engines.. Dont quote me on that though will you.. JB.
  5. D16 looks lovely Ken, I want one more than ever now.. JB.
  6. I was in Munich and Garmisch a few years ago.. Love the place ! JB.
  7. You're slowing down Ken... I wanna see this one !! JB.
  8. Hi Ken, I've just checked my Yeadons, and yes there should be a secondary fall plate underneath the top one... Only a simple affair, a length of curved plate hinged from the loco lower/main footplate and resting onto the lower/main footplate of the tender... Hope that helps... JB.
  9. Just pretend I'm not here... Nothing wrong with Eastern Region I believe there should be a secondary fall plate underneath the main one on the tender too... Just to make doubly sure that no one fell through.. A few engines had them including J15's and the like I think.. JB.
  10. Ooooohhh... D16...! It'll be interesting to see how this kit works around the smokebox saddle... see if it's correct width or not.. Will it have the early or late valancing? There was one D16/3 at Stratford in '46 with the early valance that I'm desperate to build at some point... I really need to clear some engines off the workbench... JB.
  11. Don't joke..!! I have 3 engines on the go already, and I just got myself a cheap Alan Gibson 4f... Have you built one of these kits ? It would be interesting to hear any initial thoughts before I dive in guns blazing.. JB.
  12. Hi Tony, I contacted Andy, and got his list sent through, but unfortunately the K2 crosshead and slidebars are very different to the K3 versions... The K2 has above and below crosshead - slidebars.. I think I shall have to wait out the 3 months.. JB.
  13. Looking very nice ! Does Andy at Ragstone have a decent list of slidebar and crosshead castings ? I need to get some for my K2, but Gladiator are telling me that I need to wait 3 months while they relocate their workshops..!! JB.
  14. Love the BR Std 7 Ken... unfortunately I missed out on a DJH bargain offering recently.. JB.
  15. Excellent thread! I shall keep this in mind for a (hopeful) future layout.. Thankyou.. JB.
  16. Was Catcott really built that long ago ??!! Wow time flies! JB.
  17. Hi Ken, hope you're well... not been viewing your thread as I think it has deleted itself from my Recent Topics button on here... Have to say all of your work on here is great, but that Jinty looks absolutely MEGA... Very very nice indeed !!! Happy New Year..! JB.
  18. Looking forward to seeing hiw this pans out... I quite fancy a K3 myself although I still have another K2 to build.. I could have sworn there was another manufacturer of a K3 kit... But I could well be wrong.. JB.
  19. Missed this for quite a while.. but looking absolutely fantastic... Keep it up Gordon !! JB.
  20. Just pulling your leg of course.. JB.
  21. You're slacking there Ken... this has taken a week so far Looking lovely though.. just too foreign for me! JB.
