  1. Great to catch up with you and the guys Ian. Glad you had a good time. The layout looks great and seemed to be running very well when i was watching. A couple of pics taken on saturday.
  2. Hi Will, I think they may be a tad big, but they are Vi trains ones from there class 37 detail pack. I have some spares somewhere if you need some. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Rick, i was going to message you. Not planning on going through Clapham at this point but if you can get down my way at all we could meet up. I am at Swanage diesel gala 12th and 13th. Cheers peter.
  4. Hi ian, happy to help out at brockenhurst. I think Andy is trying to sort a visit to Kevin's but can see how we go. Will definitely catch up either way. Cheers peter.
  5. Thanks Mate, I saw you had trouble with your 37430. These two are the older Bachmann model both started out as 37418s. As much as I like the look of the new ones I don't really need anymore. Cheers Peter.
  6. Actually got some work done on the layout recently. The road bridge is coming together quite well though i was hoping to be further along at this point.
  7. It's been a while since posting but i have been doing bits and pieces. Fresh off the workbench tonight is 37427 seen here with my 37428. The body will have to come off as the lights dont work at one end. That will be it for a few weeks as i fly out to the UK this weekend.
  8. No worries Nick, I noticed the class 31s going at a cheaper price, Plenty of livery choice. As with most of the Heljan 7mm the class 20s have their faults but I like my mine they come up well with a bit of weathering though an absolute to get the body off and back on again. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Nick, been following your progress for a while and enjoying the layout build and stock weathering. I think the bigger loco's look quite at home too, that class 37 is a beast. Cheers Peter
  10. Hi Ian, Yeah over visiting the family again. Definitely catch up for a beer and would love a go at operating. I am not sure if the club layout is being set up this year. Cheers Peter.
  11. 37423 is pretty much done. I ended up removing one motor and hard wiring in a 21 pin decoder reblown with biffo sound.
  12. Hi Ian, All being well I will see you at the Brockenhurst show in May. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks John, I am not sure if they are doing layout visits but you are welcome to come down for a look.
  14. A 101 class DMU heads out of Llanbourne on a local service. 25059 is standing in for a failed 08 on empty stock duties.
  15. I think they get sent on a boat to keep the cost down. Unfortunately llanbourne wont be leaving the garage any time soon. I would love to get to Warley again though it was a good show when i went in the early 90s
  16. Most of you would know Llanbourne featured in the January copy of Hornby Mag, i now have a copy too. it normally takes a few months for mags to get out to Oz and the Hornby mag showed up this week. Its nice to have a hard copy, i am really happy with how it came out. Thanks to the guys at Hornby mag for making it a good experience and Jonathan Newton for the great pictures.
  17. 37423 is nearly finished. I need to add just a little bit more weathering and a decoder.
  18. It certainly has that crewe feel about it. 97406 currently sat in my yard having arrived on an engineers train.
  19. Hi Tim, Just been catching up on your layout. The extension looks great and some nice additions to the fleet too. Cheers Peter.
  20. I am surprised class 26s weren't that common on the WHL. Anyway i found my pic of 27030 at Motherwell in 87 Withdrawn at this stage. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Paul, Just been catching up on your thread. As far as I can remember class 27s were only ever in blue so your 27030 will be fine. I actually have a pic on my Flickr site of the loco at Motherwell depot in 1987 though withdrawn at this time. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks mate. I rhink i will re visit the Peak at some point as i would like to make it a sealed beam job and remove the centre headcodes. Cheers Peter.
  23. Finally got some paint on the split box 37. Also transfers and nameplates on 37423.
  24. 20s wait to leave for stanlow on the daily oil train. 08472 had brought the oil train in from the sidings and will follow the train out and go back to the yard.
