  4. Thanks John, Well I am pretty sure there wasn't back in the 80s though not sure about these days. Trains were running here today. All the best.
  5. Merry Christmas everyone. Just a couple of pics I took today when I had a minute. Stabled loco's.
  6. Thanks Rick, Hope you are all well over there. Still plodding along and getting things done. Cheers Peter.
  7. I did this coach over 20 years ago so I couldn't say for sure if it is correct. I did try and get things right and would have tried to find the right number I am sure someone will know. Cheers Peter.
  8. I have managed to finish off a few projects before Christmas. 45052 has been on the workbench for over a year. 25912 is now finished and I have painted some westhill wagon works trollies and plonked them on the platform.
  9. I had the air brush out weathering some 00 stock the other day and had some paint left over so made a start on my Heljan dogfish and catfish wagons. Not finished yet but getting there.
  10. G531 & G536 work an up steel through Baxter.
  11. Thanks for that. I will see how I go but I am thinking of using ash from the wood heater. I am not sure what the colour of fly ash is so I need to find some pics but but I can always add some darker tint. Cheers Peter.
  12. The layouts looking great John, hope the running session goes well. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks for that. I will try and get a pack. Cheers Peter.
  14. I was planning on getting the Inter - City one but the thick orange line is no good to me hopefully they will fix it on later releases if there are any. Cheers Peter.
  15. As far as I know the fly ash workings out to llandudno Junction finished in about 1983. I have imagined it ran until 1986. If it did it might have had a class 58 vice class 56 now and then. 58s did work out on the coast on driver training runs in the mid 80s. I need to get some loads sorted for these wagons does anyone know the part number for the parkside loads. These are the old type Hornby MGR. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Al, A useful tip re fitting the wheels. I will look into getting some of those buffers and wheels, I didn't notice any buffer housings when i opened up the kit but I am happy to get the ones you suggest as they look spot on. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Al, I have a couple of Skytrex TTAs to do can I ask who's buffers and wheels you use. Cheers Peter.
  18. The loads do come out fairly easy, I did some for my Seacow wagons and they don't come out very well so a magnet would have been a good idea. Cheers Peter.
  19. I made my loads removable using platicard for the base.
  20. They look good Ian, I have a couple to do myself. Who's wheels and buffers did you use? Cheers Peter.
  21. Thanks Ian, I will have a look. Cheers Peter
  22. A couple of class 20s have just set back into the yard with the daily oil train from stanlow.
