  1. Its in the current/latest edition. Worth a purchase...
  2. Nice spread in Traction Peter. Got some cracking photos in there. What's the story with the sheep on the 37? Was it a Landore 'mascot'?
  3. Greasy rails today. Journey from Paddington to Bris was interesting!

  4. Bostin' idea! Looking forward to keeping tabs on this.
  5. Looking good Grimley! That's a big loco fleet to get grimy mind. Hope you've got a good supply of weathering powders and paints mate!
  6. Great work! Like the weathering on the mineral wagons especially.
  7. Absolutely top drawer stuff.
  8. I've lost my copy of GT5!!!!

  9. Great idea!! It's easier to model in its current form though (ha ha!) - saddened that it is no more... Good luck!
  10. Cracking work Grimley, hope all is well with you and yours! Sound chips and smoke generators will finish it all off with a treat!
  11. Just heard something interesting pass through Worle station - could it have been a 37 on the Flasks? Pity I can't see the line!

Not likely to be the flask train that late at night.

  12. So, two choices on my watched items on Ebay tonight - do I go for the JLTRT Class 24 kit or shall I bid on the life-gauge Sprint Blue Fiat Coupe 20 Valve Turbo instead?

You can't drive about in an "O"-gauge Class 24. On the other hand you won't be done for road tax, fuel or insurance....

  13. Had some great haulage from 6940 at the Llangollen today! Top loco!Still sniffing the clag now!

You know when you've had a good day sticking your head out of the window when you get home and it looks like you have mascara on lol!

  14. oh, Thwaites Wainwright, why do I love you so...

  15. Two bottles of Bulmers on an empty stomach...not too clever!

The Bulmers or the empty stomach?

  16. Its Dad time. Had the little boys down the park today, in the sun. Great fun. Now its nearly bath time for the eldest but a bottle of Savanna South African cider has been poured into my 2007 WSR Beer Festival Glass rather prematurely...whoops!

  17. I remember seeing ex works 37/5's and 37/7's at Shrewsbury on the Cawoods Coals and South Wales Steel trains around 1986. I remember when I first saw a flush front refurb 37 (might have been 797) - wondered where it had come from and who had done the damage... One of the regular spotters then explained to me the large scale refurbishment programme that was being undertaken. My out of date Platform 5 spotters book needed some editing! The flush fronts were a grower though and I can't wait to get one of the general release Bachmann jobs in due course!
  18. I'm confused about my current music tastes as my ipod plays Elbow into Chase and Status...!

If your brain tells you you like it, you like it. No confusion :-)

  19. Like the Pics Peter. My mate is in Melbourne this week and I nearly jumped into her backpack so I could drop by and say hello! Cheers
  20. Likes the new Elbow album, especially the first track 'The Birds'

I found it a little disappointing. Cast of Thousands is still my favourite!

Maybe its a grower Pugsley. Personally I think the Seldom Seen Kid is the best.

Its a cracking track (and superb live)but will have to go a long way to beat "Great Expectations" from leaders of the free world.

  21. Looks good Grimley... B) How many rooms in the house have you taken over for this project now? Are you in arrears with the brownie points yet? How's the big layout doing these days? Presume Grimley is taking a back seat whilst the depot project gets worked on at a good pace? Cheers
  22. Has just taken his eldest on his first preserved line trip - Blue Anchor to Minehead and back followed by scrambled egg on toast at the Driftwood Cafe - he loved it!

    1. Captain Kernow

      Captain Kernow

Ah, the Driftwood Cafe - I remember it well... cold, winter Sundays in 1981 in the signalbox, a mere two trains a day, with long periods in between of contemplating the murky images of distant fishing boats riding the still, quiet foggy waters of the Bristol Channel.... the Driftwood cafe was the only place around to get anything warm to eat!

  23. Hi Dave 47644 looks the business there mate - top banana!B) Alex
