  7. Hi Mevaman, All blanking plugs are alike as far as I am aware, certainly all 8 pin ones. I think if it were me I would just fit a Bachmann plug and see what happens, all they do is pass current from track to motor. MickD.
  8. Hi, Surely any 21 pin blanking plug will fit, does not need to be Hornby??. MickD.
  9. I am in full agreement with you on this, but I think we will be in the minority after the howls of anguish over recent price rises, which will only get worse as the effects of brexit and the exchange rate come into effect. MickD.
  10. Hi, I seem to remember there was a lot of adverse comment about the Hejan / Hattons Beyer Garrat in the not too distant past??.

    Noisy Class 24

Hi Les, I had this problem with a Bachmann 24. my solution was to order new bogies from Bachmann. Fitted these and the problem was cured. I contacted Bachmann through their website and they replied next day with the price which was paid through PayPal. I was pleased with the way they coduct their supply of spares, very quick and efficient service. Hope that helps. Best of luck. MickD.
  18. Don't hold your breath on it being No.7. I was originally told mine would be N0. 147 but when I looked at the certificate it has gone up to No 296. Very strange ??. MickD
  19. Hi, you will be lucky not damaging the paintwork while removing numbers. Ive tried with T-Cut and a cotton bud which took the numbers off and also the top coat. ViTrains must be the thinnest paint job of any manufacturer. Sorry, not the news you will want to hear. MickD.
  20. Well that's mine ordered. No problem getting through either. despite the Nay Sayers this is one model I am looking forward to getting. MickD.
  21. Hi, Only thing with doing them at the same time is, will they be trying to go in opposite directions.? As you cannot tell one to go the other way as they will both respond ??. Just a thought. MickD.
  22. Hi, you wont go wrong with the Lenz,It's not that much dearer and is way ahead of the Bachmann in terms of reliability and functionality. Although you are not looking for the best now, as you get further into Dcc you will appreciate the extra's you get with the Lenz. Good luck, MickD.
