Captured Equipment (part 1)

We're about 6 weeks from our next outing with Ferme du Pont and long overdue an update

Currently on the workbench is a German Brigadewagen from a Locos n Stuff kit

There's still 3 door catches to fit, then brake rigging and couplings.

Perhaps not the most useful wagon for us but it will be joined one day (much later) by a German Brigadelok (which is towards the bottom of a very big kit pile....)

Next up will be finishing off a handful of B class wagons and a couple of D's and F's.

We also need lots of wagon loads, one for the F class wagons being track panels like this

Simplex progress

I rediscovered my part built Nigel Lawton 20hp Simplex recently and figured it would be a fairly quick job to get it running for the layout's next outing in a few weeks

The addition of pickups that act directly on the track has transformed the running qualities and it happily pottered around the club test track earlier this week

Recent work has seen the addition of the radiator which just needs pipework to finish, it also needs a second coupling adding and the paintwork (and driver) finishing off.

It can just about move 2 wrightlines D class wagons and can happily move one (like the real thing)
