Andrew P
O.K. Guys, it's not Christmas eve yet so well have no more Christmas humour yet for a while. Back to things Railway, I've had a visitation from Duncan / emt-911 this evening,up from Croydon, He has been up to the Club with me to start setting up for the open weekend and then we came back here for a coffee and a running session. Duncan has a preference for Steam so we tried a couple but for some reason, tonight they were on strike, slipping with just 20 Vans behind the Black 5 and the Jubilee slipping with just a few Fish vans and the 8F giving up after a few inches. So I got Penybont Sidings out for a Play This is where we will be Saturday and Sunday. Edited December 7, 2017 by Andrew P

Andrew P
Thanks Andi, I believe the Gallery are getting some Prints done, I looked into it, and the local people around here can only do it from photographs. I have tried this but there is always a distortion at the outer edges, and a shadow and glare. The Printers the Gallery uses is on Anglesey, and scan the original direct into the printer so that there are no reflections or distortions. If you want one, they can be contacted on 01678 521854, Tan yr Hall, Gallery, http://www.tanyrhallgallery.co.uk/Home.html Others of mine in the Gallery are. 3 on this pic. and

What’s the matter with a bit of snow. Some of us remember 1947 (probably not but our parents talked about it for years) while 1963 was but a few years ago (it didn’t start snowing until New Years Eve) and that I do remember, being stuck at the PYG for three days and enjoying every minute of it!
emt_911
An excellent day with some interesting conversations and great company. Here's hoping that tomorrow isn't as bad as forecast.
RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted December 9, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) What a day, after helping Mrs M sort the stables out and walking the hounds I ventured to Church Gresely. All was going well so I thought , Newark in 1hr 15mins, best time ever. Then I sat there for over 1/2 hour. It was after the emergency services came past I thought I am going to be here a long time so I might turn round and head to Nottingham along the Mansfield road. No sat nav just working on natural direction and sign posts. I ended up at Peter and Andy's club house later than planned. No problems getting home despite departing a tad later than I planned, my tea was still warm when I got in. As for the middle bit of the day, BIG THANK to the Gresely and Wychnor Model Railway Group, I had a great time. It was wonderful to meet Lance Comical 911(Duncan) and Tony. Bob's layout looked very nice. I still find the big 0 gauge layout downstairs brilliant (but I am not tempted). The refreshments, especially the mincepies went down well, thanks to the catering staff. As for the sad old boy in the corner making his trains dirty.......................... Hi Paul, it's just that I'm a chicken, I don't do Cold, as Duncan will testify having been in my Shed with the heater on full the other night, me in woolly jumper and a fleece and him in a Polo Shirt.
