I had not realised that the DS10 with motor mount and gears now fetch 50% more than I paid for the whole lot, likewise the 16mm Romford's are now twice as much as I paid. This was if not the best buy of the year the best lot. It was the motors, wheels and hornblocks I was interested in, Does anyone know if the DS10's fit High Level gearboxes?

Do you have J H Russell's book Pictorial Record of Southern Locomotives ? It has a series of useful drawings including a very detailed scale drawing. Send me a PM and I will scan them for you. Kind regards, Richard B Here is what the chassis looked like, that horrible lump of brass that is so non descript. I took Michael Edge's drawing that appeared in another tread and posted it into a word document to scale and then spray mounted it onto the frames having screwed them together. The positioning of the spacers meant to use them a new one had to be drilled. Then I used my fret saw to get a more realistic shape. Next came drilling for brake shoes, I think some Gibson GWR shoes can be modified to fit. The rods were non descript so again using spare Comet parts from 4f coupling rods they are now 3 layer with a representation of the bushes Finally for now came making the ashpan detail and springs. I was a bit mad as each spring was made of 4 bits. This one is going to be 30566 . It was originally going to be sold on as I wanted one rebuilt with the LDCR cab, so another set of frames was accidently cut out at the same time from brass. This is not going to be a quick project and I get so far then the mojo has struggled over the years. This weeks modelling has been trying to get the cylinders built and onto a Branchlines Pug chassis which has just seemed very over hard.
