RusselBridge2017
My Council building, ex Railway headquaters has chimneys and a roof. Hopefully now looking less North American? Now for the red brick insert sections.
RusselBridge2017
Some new scratch scrap wagons and a very un prototypical DRS flask train in South Wales, my story goes they built a Magnox Reactor at Aberthaw in the 1970s.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me....along with the nuclear submarine facility at Newport....

RusselBridge2017
18 months on from my last post on my "new project" and the bench work is finished.... What took me so long?
RusselBridge2017
Cadoxton Quay has made progress in recent months with benchwork completed around my old Marley. The lower fiddle yard is finished and ramp up to the scenic section that I plan. Now I need to replace the benchwork over the top of the fiddle yard and progress the fun bit of adding structures and scenics. The way I will build this layout as it is my first fixed none exhibitable model is by adding buildings onto separate removable boards so I can model and detail in the warm as opposed to the currently sub zero garage. I am getting on you know. Watch this space......
RusselBridge2017
Distracted again I am, in this hobby I believe you have to go with the flow model what inspires you today, even if that means a huge work in progress cupboard...... Anyway, not much progress on the layout again.... Bachmann FNA opened and flask scratch built, now where is my Mainline 46 locomotive.... 3 1
RusselBridge2017
Back to layout construction for the last few weeks. I call it mocking up. There is a track plan but before the code 75 is secured I have been adding basic structures before they go off to be detailed and I actually commit to the permanent way. Make sense to me.... RusselBridge2017
Some of the buildings/scenic sections are going on to separate boards again to be able to remove and detail, then secure when they are finished. Plus the plan is the 5mm MDF the buildings are on will give a little relief from the flat baseboards the track will be laid on.....

Melangoose
Some excellent progress Steve, layout is coming on so well. Love the Steelworks at one end, what a good use of your space. Well done.
