RMweb Gold Popular Post Accurascale Fran Posted March 31, 2020 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted March 31, 2020 Hi everyone, Ever wanted to add that extra realism to your models with weathering, but were too daunted by the task? Do you want to learn new skills and take your models to the next level? Welcome to the first in our 'Let's Get Involved' series! We want you to be able to bring out the very best in your Accurascale models (as well as others!) so we are going to bring you a number of tutorials on adding that bit of wow factor to your Accurascale models in the coming months. As we (unfortunately) have some extra time on our hands, now is the perfect time to start. Our first project is a step by step guide on how to weather your Accurascale HUO wagons with Mick Bonwick. How gorgeous do these beauties look? You can achieve the same result with his step by step guide! Click the following link to read on: https://accurascale.co.uk/blogs/lets-get-involved/wagon-weathering-with-mick-bonwick-lets-get-involved Would you like to submit an idea for a future 'Let's Get Involved' article involving Accurascale models? email us at ideas@accurascale.co.uk with your suggestions! We would certainly like to hear them and share expertise around. Cheers! Fran 15 2 1 1

RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted April 5, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2020 Great suggestion! One we will use. We are including tail lamps on wagon projects like the PTA going forward too. One request we have if anyone is interested is fitting our buffer packs to kits or other models? We have seen an explosion of orders for them since the lock down began, so it would be good if someone wanted to contribute a step-by-step on installing them! If you want to contribute that or another idea, email us at ideas@accurascale.co.uk and let us know. We've have a few in that will be uploaded in the coming weeks. Cheers! The Black Hat
Renumbering advice for one of your forthcoming 37s might be a nice touch. While I have attacked a few from other brands in the past - a lot depends on different manufacturers for the best methods. A guide on that would be good. Unless you plan or releasing it later as the one requested anyway.... 37401 or 37403 in Large logo with large red lights as in use with DRS. 1

From the experience of renumbering and changing details on some Accurascale wagons, the numbers come off pretty easily, with just a bit of rubbing from a cocktail stick. No chemicals were needed and no base colour came off. Nothing like Vitrains which were nearly impossible.
