RMweb Gold john dew Posted July 9, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 9, 2020 I have a rake of 5 horse boxes. Space is at a premium in the siding so I dont want to add Passenger Coaches or bogied PBVs. I do have a 4 wheel PBV (Ratio 4 wheeler with Shirescenes sides) .......how realistic would that be in 1947? The alternative would be a Toad......I know that would be ok for empty boxes.....could it be used for loaded boxes? RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted July 9, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 9, 2020 Not sure John but I do like the idea of your Ratio/SS PBV though.
RMweb Gold john dew Posted July 9, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 9, 2020 Thanks Robin It made up into a nice model (I did a siphon as well ) I am just uncertain if it would have been used on revenue earning trains in 1947. Hopefully Mike will be along shortly Cheers John
Steamport Southport
A Toad would be fine. Preferably fitted. Jason
