Beardybloke
Having had my interest reinvigorated by the "Imaginary Locomotives" thread, I've acquired an Arnold 0-6-0 chassis to make myself a NWNG/WHR single Fairlie - but a fictional one. This will obviously require a new set of nameplates - does anyone know where I can obtain some custom ones? Rather than the 'standard' type of raised lettering, I'm after the normal Ffestiniog type with the name etched into a brass plate as here: (nameplate photo taken from a Creative Commons License photo on Wikipedia)

Edge
Try PPD. They etched me a large number of names and numbers, and the quality is superb. They work from both sketches and photos, so they should be able to do this. I can pretty much guarantee that they will also be very good value. It might be worth commissioning more than one name though, or asking for the name on the edge of a larger project. Anyway, the site is below: PPD
