Just out of interest and I may well have missed this in my excitement,  how long is Mick's session?

Given the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions on gatherings we have decided it will not be feasible to meet at Missenden Abbey in March 2021. We will therefore run the Spring weekend on 6-7 March as another virtual event similar to the Autumn 2020 weekend.

Content will include:

  • Backscenes
  • Scenery
  • Locomotive Kit Building
  • Fitting DCC Decoders
  • 3D Printing
  • Laser Cutting Buildings
  • Wiring Best Practice
  • Point Building and Tracklaying
  • Weathering
  • Kitbashing Buildings

With live sessions:

  • JMRI Demonstration
  • Weathering
  • What’s on the Workbench?

Chris Hopper

We have now added a large section on layout planning to the material for the weekend.

Thanks to eveyone who joined in. The Zoom sessions with Pete Brownlow and Tim Watson from Saturday are available on line now as recordings.

The Sunday session with Jerry Clifford encountered a few "leaves on the line" and may take a little longer as we need to do a bit of fettling but will appear soon.

Mick Bonwick's Sunday afternoon weathering clinic will also be added as soon as possible.

Can I just thank Mick and Jerry, along with everyone 'behind the scenes' for what were two very enjoyable presentations today.

Very informative,  thought provoking and good to be part of.

I came away with several new ideas for some weathering techniques. Also, I now have identified a need for a layout based on a Col. Stephens light railway. I never knew this before today and would thank Jerry for bringing this to my attention.

Top stuff.
